You are a prisoner in Greyrock Prison, one of the toughest jails in all the Cestreyan Empire. Why are you there? Were you a thief turned in by a rival? A murderer betrayed by the love of your life? Are you actually innocent? In fact, what's your gender, character class, personality and sexual and political preference? Decide all of these things for yourself as you break free and journey through the land of Efrania.

Decide what kind of person you want to be
Decisions and dialogue choices made in-game decide your characters past, present and future. Play as exactly the kind of person you want to be.

Choose your friends (and enemies)
There are several companions to travel with, but Efrania is a polarised place, engulfed in civil war and ancient intrigue. Based on your actions some potential friends may become deadly enemies and vice-versa.

Define your story
With multiple pathways through the game, no two play-throughs are going to be the same. The game features six different endings with endless variations of each, taking all of your previous actions into account.

Fight all the monsters!
The game features over 80 different types of monster, spread across hundreds of encounters. Each one has its own quirks, so be sure to learn their strengths and weaknesses.

100% Original Artwork
All of the artwork used in the game is 100% original, so you won't have seen any of it before!

Music by Hiroki Kikuta (Secret of Mana)
Featuring amazing music by Hiroki Kikuta from his "The Calm" and "The Fury" music packs.

I love the aesthetic of this. It's GORGEOUS. *first 2 subscribe*

(In both the sense that I was the first person to subscribe to this game and I think this might be the first game I've ever bothered subscribing to, I usually just Playlist.)

A little criticism: so, it sounds like your entire game is essentially expanding upon the tutorial of Oblivion (to the point where I can tell the dungeon that my wizard is a lesbian which is kind of strange but whatever I'm not exactly complaining), which I'm actually fine with. But the title and most of the description strongly imply that this is a dungeon crawler, whereas the short description describes it as being open world. Which is it?

Also if this is completed when do we get a download?

Wow! Thanks for the compliments. Really glad you like the aesthetic. Project literally just got approved on here so I'm uploading the files now. Should hopefully be available by the time you're reading this.

The game is open world. Getting out of the prison itself is essentially the first dungeon. The rest is a journey across the province to try and catch a ship to safety, taking whatever path you want, picking up companions along the way and helping or hindering various factions in the ongoing civil war. There's another subplot from your character's past that you may or may not choose to follow too.

By the way, are you the same Stormcrow as on the DWAITAS forums by any chance?
Nope, coincidence. I actually don't even know what DWAITAS stands for.
It was fun, though at least one ending seemed to be glitched. I seemed to just be "stuck" inside a house after I finished the game.

Right after escaping the prison after defeating the ancient robot.

Actually, it happens regardless of whether I let Chal sacrifice themself, whether I sacrifice myself, or whether I beat the robot. For note, my party is myself, Chal, Layne, and my treacherous girlfriend.
Thanks! I'll look into that. Must have missed one of the scenes in my testing.

I have updated the game files to version 1.2 which should address this bug as well as a couple of other minor things. If you download it, your ending should progress as normal. Thanks again for bringing it to my attention, and please let me know if you encounter any other problems.
Thank you. It has, indeed, progressed. I guess you know which ending I got.

It seemed good... ish. I got to reunite mother and child... and it only cost dozens of innocent lives ^_^;

I wasn't trying to be a jerk in the game, but most of the choices weren't really black and white, and you'll almost certainly have to betray someone at some point. And I accidentally doomed everyone in Lightharbour. I did save everyone from the giant robot, though!
