Here at Scarlet Lion Studios, we strive for the quality games no one else will make. Or have asked for.

If you've ever wondered what it would be like to be a hyena-like gnoll seeking romance in a faux-Persian city, you've come to the right place. One way or another, your monstrous-humanoid avatar had fallen head over heels in love with a well-known bard of the region, Nazreen.

Will you succeed at wooing the fiery skald where others have failed? Name your self-insert OC, choose your own romantic adventure, and find out!

"Dates At The Gilded Dallah" was a game inspired by a joke made by a fellow player in OzzyTheOne's D&D 5e campaign over the RMN Discord server. In this idea, he proposed creating a dating sim where his kleptomaniac rogue tries to talk his way out of getting caught by his victims of theft.

I took him up on his offer, reaching for a gnoll bard I played in a Pathfinder game, specifically one that was a sequel to a failed Tomb of Horrors run. Thankfully, this same bard was one I wanted to integrate into my Arakhavia setting, the land of Raziya and her fellow savanna-dwelling villagers.

Playing as a maybe-canonical date to Nazreen, it's up to you to find your way into the adventurer's heart. Features include...
  • Yet another short-but-sweet, story-driven game, clocking in at ~10 minutes for a single run
  • Different dialogue choices allow you to glean different parts of Nazreen's personality... or piss her off
  • The potential for a bad ending in addition to a good one; can you avoid (or succeed at) making a hyena cry?
  • The ability to interact with some objects and individuals for kicks and giggles
  • An easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy JRPG battle, because VX Ace
  • In-game pictures to convey Nazreen's emotions, with the quality you'd expect from an MS Paint doodle

Should I Polish Up This One?

Hey. So, I felt very unsatisfied with bits and pieces of this game. I'm frankly surprised it got the recent traction that it did. So uh, should I refine this game and keep the first draft version available too? Lemme know? ._.
