What is the story?

Eno is a continent that is starting to slip into turmoil. The Mithra islands are plagued with a demonic infection, a rogue technologically advanced organisation conducts horrific experiments, crime families tighten their grip on the less developed areas of the landmass... And throughout it all, a figure of legend long thought defeated pulls the strings of the world's destruction.

But the strings of fate are also in motion, five strangers being brought together by complete chance. Each with their own tales unfolding amid the chaos, the five must develop their friendship to survive more than they could possibly imagine.

It is an organic, natural tale crafted from the real interactions of five different people, their own friendship forged right alongside their characters. Help cultivate these five as they did, expertly translated from the tabletop to your screen.

---

Gameplay:

The game controls as many RPG Maker titles do, a top-down perspective controlled with the arrow keys, battles being turn-based. You level up as the story dictates, but you must keep your gear in check and up to standard if you are to have any hope of defeating your foes! From simple mooks to the most dangerous of bosses, each move will need to be carefully considered if you are to prevail.

And beyond simple enemies, so too may you encounter puzzles in the world. Do you have what it takes to contend with the crafty Cogmog the Moogle?

Release Schedule:

Due to the scale of the game, and the fact that the campaign, one year later, is still ongoing, Eno will be released chapter by chapter. It will start by chapter 1, then chapter 2 and onwards.

If you keep your save files chapter-by-chapter, your progress will not be lost!

Huh, who knew that you had to be logged in to comment?
A game about Quarantines, what better way to waste ones wasted time?
I have only made it as far as my 1st drink of Water but am finding this to be a delightful experience and the music is well done and balanced to the scenes.
A spell that can cure hangovers?
Why does this have to be just fantasy?

Update,
I just finished with this installment and outside of a couple of glitches think that this one is a real winner,
Eagerly awaiting the next installment.
The story has got me hooked.
Thank you for this.
Some questions:
Why don't I earn EXP?
I nearly died during the surprise attack, even with using my collected potions and ethers before the last two battles.
At least let me grind for more money, but there are no random encounters at the docks.

Are only some of the cutscenes different for the chosen party leader or more?
Currently playing as Ni Ethil and collecting bugs and typos while writing a guide.

For the first question, levels are a progress-oriented thing, while increasing stats beyond what is designated is determined by two things; gil and skill shards. Grinding for gil will become easier once the world map unlocks, which you can do during the 'snowy M'Rasu' segment by examining the map in Leran Kane's throne room when it glows. The opening is somewhat linear (FF7 style, M'Rasu is our Midgar) but it opens up when you unlock the map. If you miss said map you'll be locked in until Chapter 2 opens up the world map anyway.

You can also do some grinding in the cultist hideout and M'rasu grasslands dungeons. Particularly the latter since you should be more equipped and able to deal with basic enemies by then. There's also the M'Rasu city map, though encounters there aren't the most common.

As for skill shards, they are gained by killing enemies on the world map and completing side quests. They boost your general stats depending on the type of shard required (health, power etc.), and help combat enemies in your current level range. Get enough and you can tackle higher-level areas, though that's optional and most you will be able to come back and do later in the story. The exception is endgame dungeons, which go WAY beyond max level depending on the zone, and skill shards will be required to be able to tackle them.

For the second question, cutscenes are mostly the same no matter the character leading the party. Cutscenes only change if you tackle side quests with or without certain party members currently present.

Any bugs and typos found and reported are appreciated! Still being in development, we're always searching for errors to patch up.

My Bug Report and Guide, I will update it while playing.

Awesome, I'll get into fixing those initial bugs you pointed out. Though for your guide, I wouldn't bother mentioning the EXP thing further as, again, levels occur based on where you are in the story. Progression is achieved through shards, available from some side quests and the world map after defeating the Chapter 1 end-boss.

EDIT: Alright, I've gone through and fixed the problems you pointed out. As for that unreachable woman, that's very much deliberate to the point she has funny text if you 'somehow' manage to break the game and get to her.
Serious Bug Warning

In Chapter 2 after you have entered the Poronton Town Square, don't return to the docks or your screen turns permamently black.
You can heal and save at the inn instead.

A fix will be up with the next update.

Another advice:

Don't change the Message Speed to "Instant" in options or some texts will only flash by too fast to read.

Another annoying bug (will be fixed with the update):
Mika will level up once too early at the end of chapter 1 and so breaking the balance. Please send your next save file after that boss to the developer for fixing.

Tonight the devs will upload a updated download that will address a total of 3 critical bugs (those mentioned here and a missing file).
Heya :)

This game is really awesome and I love it! <3

I played the whole Chapter 1, but now I have a Problem. I don´t know if that is a bug, but at the end of Chapter 1 or at the Beginning of Chapter 2 where you are on the Ship and the screen appears where you Level up to Level 3, the Game crashes. So I can´t continue playing Chapter 2 :(

Close your internet browser while playing RPG Maker Games of the MV or MZ generation.
There is a memory leak that will overclock your GPU and then your RAM and causes crashes, blackscreens, freezes and other graphical issues.
The internet browser will use most of your RAM so close it.

But it is possible that there is still an issue with the false level up on the ship.

I did it, but it didn´t work. It still crashes sadly ._.

still no Answer? I really want to continue D:

We will look into it, though this is the first we've heard of a crash at that specific part. I take it you are playing version 0.2.2? There was a bug on prior versions where the trophy system would crash the game, and there is a trophy at the level 3 ding, but that is fixed on the most recent editions.

Have you also tried starting directly from chapter 2 in the chapter select menu? Does that make a difference?

If you could also screenshot the specific crash message, if it gives you one, that would be helpful.

If it is your first time fighting Soraan, then you aren't supposed to win that fight. If it's the second time, he shouldn't be all that challenging.

The answer is 700hp for the second encounter, btw.

And 2 hours is clearly a gross exaggeration. Especially for fight 1, if you haven't somehow been spam healing through amber suffering every turn with a somehow never ending supply of healing items.

I'm afraid you have the same problem as me.
Since the beginning of chapter 2 the achievements will crash the game but the cause itself couldn't be fixed yet.

At the end of chapter 1 there was an NPC before you enter the ship that will disable the achievements.

As you are already past that point, either you send the save file to the devs or wait for a fix/NPC to disable the achievements in the town.

That is an issue a handful of people have reported with trophies. I do not know what causes it and the majority of playtesters have not encountered it. When it does appear there doesn't seem to be any rhyme to it, aside from maybe something to do with system specs.

As it is, developing chapter 4 as we are, I've updated the trophies API to a newer version, and am hoping that will solve the problem in the next release.
