Are you going to stay outside the pub, watching others get rich? Or do you take a chance and go in for a game of luck? Will you choose your bets wisely to make huge profit and use your giant amount of chips to buy awesome trophies? Or will you lose everything in there and end up standing outside the pub with empty hands again? It's in your hands. But your lucky fairy has something to say about it.

21 Jack Street is a variation of Blackjack where you can choose your own bets to maximize your winnings through tactics. Beat the computer in exciting duels and get rich. There's a tutorial mode that shows you how to play and a shop where you can exchange chips for trophies. Will you be able to get all the trophies? This game can be either played with Mouse, Controller or Keyboard and supports two languages (German and English).

This game was created in early 2020 during a gamejam in a German RPG Maker community. The theme of the jam was "luck".

I played this and had two major and one minor problems with it.

The minor problem is that cards arent dealt or drawn, every card is instantly given and the game result is shown immediately after your choice. This kinda removes any suspense the game might have and blackjack is supposed to be a suspenseful game.

The first major problem is that you can't save your game. I wanted to collect all the trophies but I accidentally quit out of the game and lost all progress. I know its not a very long game but since you put in trophies (which is a progress indicator of sorts) you should have some way to save the game.

Dont look at this if you plan on playing this game
The biggest problem (or advantage) is that the game can be cheesed. You can retire when u have a bad hand with no repercussions. So basically I picked bet 100 and retired until i got an instant win blackjack. Rinse and repeat.

BUT, it's cool that you got a blackjack minigame in RPG maker, I don't think I saw a blackjack minigame this fancy in other rpg maker games. I always do like ppl using rpg maker to do all sorts of things and it was fun getting owned when I played this legitimately, lel
Hey, bicfarmer. Yeah, you're right; there's still a few things I need to take care of. However, there won't be an option for saving. I don't want a player who has gambled away all his chips to be able to simply reload his old save where he still has 1000 chips or more left.
- Fixed a bug where you can instantly retire without placing a bet.
- Players shouldn't be able to accidently quit the game anymore.

Download is up.
