I'm definitely not insulted by questions like this, don't worry!

The original sprite is from Lunar, yeah! I think the GBA one? I tried to find the original file to corroborate that, but I can't dredge it up, sorry. It's definitely from a Lunar game, though. I used a lot of Lunar resources in this project; you'll spot lots of familiar monster sprites, too.

It is! It represents a beam of moonlight, and also functions as the game's save points.
