Happy Halloween!

Development of Reindeer Story is chugging along! I'm looking to get out my prototype for you for the 1st of December!

Battle - Attack Names
I've given the attacks names, I used to be using codes like ENEMY_NON_2, now we've got 'Wall O' Spikes' and 'Slime Fall'!

The code names are still in the game, but I've made some scripts to swap the codes out for text. This will make translating easy as updating excel! I could make some rough translations quickly with google translate if there's any interest.

Battle - Status Effects
I’ve added Status Effects! This isn't a standard RPG, so some effects are unique.

Slow/Speed
Normally in an RPG slow/haste would make allow you to get more turns or move earlier in combat. In this style of RPG it literally makes you move slower/faster!

Poison/Burn
Typical status effects they’ll cause damage at the start of each turn.

Power Up/Power Down
Boosts/Decreases attack power. When enemies use the same type of attack it makes it more powerful. E.g. a foe may use Fire Ball Level 1. But if 4 foes use it, it will become Fireball Level 4! Each foe with power down will decrease the overall level.

Flip
Flips the enemy upside down, preventing them from attacking.

Barrier
This makes the player immune to damage for a few turns. However if they take a hit the turn counter decreases.

World Map
I made the World Map. When you complete areas, new locations in the world map will open up! I still need to do graphics for it, but I'll get there.

Music
I’ve added some placeholder music, I’ve emailed a compose, hoping they’ll get back to me in time for the prototype. I've also added dynamic music in battle. When it shifts to the enemies phase the music will become more intense!
