QoL Update Released!

After taking a little longer than intended for that last bit of polish, Fragment's QoL and final update has arrived. No dialogue or story beats have changed, but there's now NPC dialogue and the few errors present in the original script have been removed.

The game has also been rebalanced. Among these changes are harder and more strategic-aimed fights, a slight chance of failure applied to Reid's counter, new Interruptable casts, and dynamic enemy spawns. The game still leans into the easier-than-hard category due to the possible abilities you can bring, but get significantly harder if you leave the skill tree alone (which I obviously don't want, but hey if you beat it without let me know?)

There's a few other changes, most of which are listed in the previous blog. If you enjoyed the strict RTP version of Fragment, please give this one a go as a more complete and fluid experience.

If reviewing the game, please specify if its for the MZ Trial Event or for the finalised QoL version.

Progress Report

QoL Update: What's Included?

As you may have seen on the Trials of RMMZ event page, (or possibly not, I guess?) I'll be releasing a QoL update for Fragments that will not include any massive changes, but will instead be a little more user-friendly with the use of Plugins.

Including, but not limited to,

Mechanics:
Expanded Options (including ATB Active vs Wait)
Actor AP and SP displayed within the Menus
Ability to tab through actors during the Skill Tree menus
Ability to access any skill tree node through a direct click
Expanded casting and interrupts
Slight adjustment to enemy variety and drops, slightly more involved boss battles, plus any battle critique that comes from the event review process.

Visual:
Clearer noting of the enemy party
Menu and Battle Layout Overhaul
That one thing will have an animated battler instead of a still portrait during that one encounter
Each Skill Node is labelled
Proper doors throughout
Larger/more detailed portraits (as I can use the Basic Resources DLC)
Custom Gameover
Custom Titlescreen

...and probably some more I've missed, but that's the gist of it. I'm looking on releasing it shortly after judging ends, so please look forward to it.

For reviewers, please wait until this release to submitting a review, so I can also fix any bugs and essentially give that last bit of polish.
