Very short, very fun!

At first I believed that F-I-E-N-D-S, this game made for the Kill the Cuties event, was going to be a horror parody of F.R.I.E.N.D.S. but it seems that I was wrong. So what's this game about?

F-I-E-N-D-S is a really short, but really good humorous adventure game about three young demons that are sent to Earth during Halloween.
Their mission is rather simple: kill children! Oh yeah, this is their nefarious plan, and thanks to the presence of children wearing monstruous costumes they can walk around unnoticed.

Hey calm down, sorryyyyy!

F-I-E-N-D-S is divided in two halves: the first sees Neep and his friends/fiends Burpa & Lilith trying to get access to a building. This part also presents an easy combat section (what are normal humans compared to demons?).
Then there's a sencond adventure part inside the apartments, where Neep is alone and has to use his slime morphing skills to show everyone that he's a demon totally capable to kill someone on his own! Uhm ok he has to kill but also do that unnoticed and come back unscathed! He can morph into three different shapes: puddle of goo, humanoid form and... well slime, his natural form! Each one is useful somewhere (well not really truth, as I found no use for the humanoid form, still clever concept and execution!)

Graphically the game makes great use of the white screw graphics pack (it's really well utilized in any place, from what concerns facesets, charsets and chipsets), there are about five maps but these are nice, believable and realistic (apartments looks like apartments, not just empty rooms or large halls... and considering the short time to make this game... it's good enough for me!). Characters are appropriated and there are some hilarious parts, like when you see Lilith's true form!

But the real meat of the game are story and dialogues. These are pretty funny, it's a dark and humorous adventure at the same time, and I liked the concept very much, It would be really good if these characters would return in another game, maybe with a longer and more complex mission. So yes, writing is good (the "tutorial to change form" was also amusing when I pressed the wrong key!) and I also did not notice typos or bugs. Well done!

The three protagonists are absolutely charming, despite being people eaters!

Final demonic verdict
This game was made in TWO days, so it's pretty awesome, but it made me wish for more. I mean, for example we play only as Neep after entering the building, so we don't experience Burpa's side of the adventure (it could have been an extra combat). As I wrote before I hope for a return of Lilith, Burpa but especially of Neep, since the morphing system can be a really cool concept to use in a larger adventure. Oh and while this game is really easy I managed to die on my first playthrough (hey you can save anytime, anyway it's 15 minutes of play!).

There isn't probably much else to say about this very short, but very entertaining little game. This gets 3.5/5. Made with little time but with a lot of inspiration.

Yay it was fun. It's a perfect game for Halloween, and considering that you even made some interactions with the roadside signs, finishing this game in the time I'd need to make just the first two maps... I was impressed ^^'
