Lasts more than 7 minutes... and doesn't disappoint!

BOOOOOOOOO!
Hey...
Are you scared? Probably not, but this game is a really scary halloween tale, and a really good one.
Why good? Because it includes everything: a short spooky tale with a twist, survival horror gameplay, quick time events and lots of atmosphere! Everything fitted in a small package!
But let's start with the story...

"Phone Voice: What's your favorite scary movie?" ... oh no sorry, wrong movie!

Edith is a single mother of four children that works hard for them, but everything goes smoothly until some strange events starts happening. A call in the middle of night, then someone knocking the door... but then no one is there! Her children keep the lights on because they are afraid of monsters, but monsters do not exist.
Right?
RIIIIIGHT?

Well find that out in this little game, a short adventure game with dialogues but also action. This include a couple of short survival horror sections and even quick time events that provide a nice diversion to the narrative parts. It's nothing really complex or difficult but everyting nicely fits complements the structure or the game and everything feels coherent and nicely done. Oh and despite being a short game I died more than a couple of times (and I also had some difficult to find some children, some choices were quite clever indeed!), but I don't think this is too difficult, even that some parts are a bit unforgiving but hey, it's a horror game!

Graphically the game is really pretty. Clearly a lot of time was spent to refine each single map and it shows! Lots of detail, every place is carefully designed and well... there aren't many locations but surely it's immersive and also claustrophobic. The atmosphere is perfect, and the music well enriches the sensation of dread and tension in this game. And how can I forget the drawings used to illustrate the salient moments of the game? The last ones were absolutely powerful and this is one reason why you have to play this game.

The game isn't just about walking around and interacting with items and persons, there are also a couple of quick time events included!

Final Verdict
Ok, the only problem I found was that during the second hide-and-seek part two girls were... uhm cloned... since they appeared in two places at the same time. Ok, clearly this was a bug anyway it even relieved me (hm maybe because it disrupted the stressful situation) but it was a little flaw in an otherwise pretty great short game. BUT WAIT! Iwrotr 'was' since now this was fixed, so...I have nothing to complain here, since I didn't even found typos or any other problem! Maybe the only wish is that to have a slighty longer game with some cutscenes and some an extra tasks, just to learn a bit more about the secondary characters, but... it's ok, I do not mind! And also an easier first chase since I died a ton of times, but maybe I was too slow! ^^'

I cannot help but say that this is a really good entry. I was amazed by the atmosphere, lightning and pacing of the story, and the ending was really the icing on the cake.
But no I won't tell anything else, since it's clearly a game longer than seven minutes, but shorter than an hour and I don't want to spoil this Halloween tale.

My only advice is to try it, as it offers a bit of everything (narrative, action, minigames and mystery) in a small package. And a good looking one too! 4/5, perfect little Halloween game!
