YULETIDE was created solo during a month-long gamejam in late 2018. Since then, it has received a couple of minor updates to adjust gameplay and squash bugs. The game is still in a demo state and not a completed project.


Legends speak of a land far to the north, uncharted by any map. A realm of ice and snow untouched by the hands of man. Folklore depicts the land in many lights, some speak of it as a haven of evil, others say it's a marvelous paradise. Few really know its true nature, as those who travel there are never heard from again.

Undaunted by such prospects and with nothing else to lose, a vagrant child takes one final journey to the ends of the world.


Demo Features:

  • An adventure spanning up to 2 hours.

  • A simple battle system that requires players to suss out what a monster desires and giving them a gift fitting that desire.

  • A game world themed after winter holidays.

  • A heaping load of awful, corny jokes and random references.

  • A couple of the easiest puzzles known to man.

  • Inspired by games like Earthbound and Undertale. (does this count as a feature?)

  • Evil ugly Christmas sweaters!

  • Eggnog!
