I did an "RPG Maker Cola" podcast episode where we talk more in detail about it with Kan Gao and Merlandese (Placebo Love details in particular in the last, say, half hour of the podcast). Thanks a bunch for letting me know about the podcast, that was really super interesting. I am now thrice as intrigued! (as a random thought, the discussion reminded me of Mircea Eliade; I recommend his novels, e.g. Forbidden Forest, which often feature a strange mix of love, dopplegangers, and mysteries that really feel like there is a solution vibrating below the surface, but not a puzzle-like solution)

As for me, I'm not really around so just ignore me :P (I just happened to wander the internets onto this site on a whim and saw a cool buzzing game, but my gam mak days are still in an extended coma)

And my, blueperiod is also still here and active, which makes me very happy.

I shall not ignore thee! I still remember and always will. And blueperiod has been away for a while also but is getting back into making games. I haven't made games for a while but I'm making stuff about games, so... I guess that counts ;) It's just good to see that Hasvers is doing well, and I wish we had a better way to catch up than to post on Merlandese's gamepage! (At least it will get buzz! :)) Feel free to join the RPGMaker.net Discord if that's your thing, otherwise it's good to see you in passing while curious.

Anyway, Placebo Love is the shiznit and I can't wait until I get my hands on this. Life Sim / Schedule Emulator is that genre I wish to see actually blossom into something wonderful. This game might actually do it. (THERAPIST: Mind Manager and Cart Life notwithstanding.)
HASVERS! Been awhile, man. Sucks to hear you've put a coma on gam mak but that's life. Gam Mak is a fickle beast. I'm definitely adding some Mircea Eliade to my Goodreads list.

Thanks for all the hype, Benny! I know what you have in mind for your own vision of this style of game and I hope Placebo Love scratches that itch without taking your own best ideas.

Placebo Love should be done this year. It's really picked up steam and it's basically just down to the testing phase and the eternal polish stage. I'll pass some keys out when it's cleaner. ;)

Holy heck, I don't know what to be flattered about most right now, thanks a lot, Hasvers! Really glad you liked Placebo Love! I'm going to patch a little soon that might add some slight interactions post-max bond. Not exactly efficient but some people seem to want it, and honestly it was in the original scope (scope cut casualty).

And also super glad you liked LURE. We've been playing with a little house rule where you have a coin that moves to the most recent animal to arrive in the garden, and that animal costs 1 extra to collect while the coin is on them. Kind of mitigates people snatching a fresh animal before your turn can come back around. Try it out! :)

WHAT THE ACTUAL HECKING HECK srry i'm late but this game is amazing and everyone should go play it, even me because i keep meaning to go back to play it (i've played maybe about 4 hours or so) but it is... so unique and there's so many scenarios. It's a visual novel and scheduling simulator about doppelgangers but it's actually incredibly well-made. Well-written, very very unique! I love the spiritual component to the whole thing, and the relationships are tracked really well. It's like Persona, if there was no walking around or jumping into the TV, and the game was a lot quicker! And written differently in a more mature and grounded setting but still with a lot of the fantastical elements <3 I loved this game and wish to play more but my procrastination lol i'm sorry
