More details on Classmate friendships

I've been quiet lately, but there is still plenty of work being done on the next section of Legacy. This time, I wanted to go into the classmate relationships a bit more since adding more days to the game allows the players to advance them farther.

After you've gone adventuring with a classmate on 5 different days, you get the chance for their special quests.
  • Nevin is getting increasingly curious about a shed next to his house that his father always keeps locked.
  • Zoe can't get anything to grow in Central Gallia and she wants help finding a place elsewhere for a garden.
  • Kurt would like to join the Lightning Guild and can't afford it. He won't take your money so you have to find another way he can raise what he needs
  • Tanya plans to experiment with her wind spells to see if they can help her with her illness, but she needs someone to look out for her while she does so.
  • Blaze has heard rumors of a tunnel in North Gallia that goes right into the Badlands. His parents are displeased with his interest in the area so you'll have to go around them.
  • Mandy's beloved dog died shortly before the game began. Is there a way you can find her another pet and make her days a little less lonely?

So there are those quests and then there are what I call "classmate adjacent" quests, which are triggered by having one character with you but don't necessarily have to be completed with that character. An example - going to the Badlands with Zoe and having her examine some of the berries that grow there starts a quest where you can help the Queen of Brews in South Gallia get some saplings so she can start selling them (and you'll get a discount). You don't need Zoe to do the rest of the quest, although she's very excited if you do.

Speaking of Zoe, if you guys have spent time with all the classmates you might have noticed she has a bit of an unfair advantage at the moment with being able to teach Bradley about the local fauna and potion mixing. In time, I would like for each classmate to have a similarly unique benefit to bring to the table. Kurt's strategic mind, Blaze's talent for finding loopholes and getting around rules, Mandy's instincts for self-reliance, etc.

That's all for now. Peace bros!

I like in your examples of what the other classmates can do, Nevin doesn't do shit! Haha. I am really excited to see how the classmates grow and come to really be your friends! They were a delight to explore with them I played the demo already so this will make it even more so!
Haha, well this is an idea that's still in very early development but with Nevin, his father is a weapons supplier for the city guards so I think if you spend enough time with him, you'll get access to some good weapons. That just leaves Tanya, who is generally the best to take along if you're going to be solving puzzles as wind magic is useful in a variety of situations.
