A mini short story about...

about what?
Yes, you are probably wondering what's this game about?
Well let's say making dishes and eating them...
It plays as an adventure game, explore the surroundings, find the items and use them, really simple and extremely short, I guess it can be completed in... tehn minutes?

The purpouse of the game is to tell a story, so I won't tell you anything about it except that we play as Suzie, a girl that lives alone in the woods and has to prepare breakfast for starting a new day! But... something will happen. Play and see!

Pancakes! Yummmmmm!

The games uses the classical Rm2k3 setup and the white screw graphics for the three or four maps that compose this short mini adventure. Mapping is good and I saw no errors, also there are many interactions and dialogues that are totally optional, so take your time and try.
There are some custom elements like suzie's portrait an maybe her charset... I dunno for what concerns the other elements of the game.

The story is extremely linear but nice, I liked that and was fun, anyway t's unlikely anyone will reply it more than once. There are no puzzles, no combat, nothing besides the interactions and dialogues (that Suzie makes with herself... or the player!). Oh dialogues are ok, I just noticed a typo near the beginning, but UI guess that's all. No other errors, no other problems.

Music is nice and sounds are used very well, and they fit perfectly the various different moments, I just wonder if anyone will predict the ending, because... after a particular event I almost did (even if not exactly but I went close). So I think it was a bit predictable, still nice, I see the base idea for the plot and I believe it was developed in a good way even if probably there was the possibility to expand that both from a story and a gameplay point of view.

I love how the protagonist's face changes as you progress...

Final Verdict
Yummy Breakfast is an extremely difficult game to rate. While the game is easily completed in 5 minutes due to its extreme shortness and lack of challenges, it has no issues or difficulties, it's just a short interactive story with really few characters involved that makes use of twists and strange events to keep the player interested.
Not that is possible to lose interest, due to the extreme shortness, anyway it's clearly compelling because I'm pretty sure everyone will want to see what happens next, and the explanation of some particular strange things that happens during the game.

Are you curious now? Well try it, it's just few minutes of gameplay!

Way late to this, but thanks for the review! I'm glad you noticed the character portraits changing over time; adding little details like that is one of my favorite parts of game design.

Yay nice one! Pity that I could not write more or I could have spoiled something. Great ending by the way...
