The most epic retelling of a little interaction in the RMN discord, telling the herculean tale of Awe921 facing off against OzzyTheOne.

This originally started off as an one-off joke thing as a response to a challenge from OzzyTheOne.

But then it kind of just snowballed from there, and eventually this little one-off joke turned into a community-game ish thing of sorts.
First, I made an actual fight, second I decided to make some cutscenes featuring some other RMNers for a little bit of setup before the epic fight.
And it kept snowballing... and snowballing, until I realized I had finished what could be my first game in RPGMaker. (Not counting the abandoned projects, of course.)

Boring backstory asides, you are able to play as me! Awe! With the power to induce existential crisis via poking. Featuring 3 cutscenes (the last one hand drawn!!), a hopeless boss fight, an actual bossfight, a SECRET ENDING with an additional cutscene and some custom assets and animations along the way. Go, Awe921! Go and give Ozzy an existential crisis via poking!

Game time is probably around a few minutes, but I hope these few minutes are fun minutes.

Thanks to OzzyTheOne, Muffle, Ocean, WaKa, Calunio, Grindalf and LordBlueRogue for allowing me to feature them in the game! They're pretty cool and you should check their stuff out. (and sorry if i butchered your names...)

Having gotten my first 4/5, I must now work hard to obtain... my second 4/5.

This is a cinematic masterpiece comparable to Batman vs. Superman and nobody can convince me otherwise.

Also I'm deeply hurt by the fact that I'm only learning about the RMN Discord now.

In all fairness, bird shrapnel isn't as deadly as wood shrapnel

Awe, you're becoming more and more unstoppable as the days go by. I am effin' thrilled for your efforts and quality in art, but this! I am excited to give this one a shot. Like seriously, my RM queue is backed up but this is absolutely at the top. I'll see if I can't get a play-and-review together by the time I finish my event entry. <3

This was... something. I'm not sure what kind of something this was, but, it was something.
I loved this game and I'm honoured to be in it.
The artyfarty animation is probably the best attack animation I've ever seen.
I didn't like the secret ending because awe loses. Awe needs to win every time.
I don't want to spoil this, but the battle animations here are crazy slick:

(I really like the 3-star one, and how the stars almost peter out like machine gun bullets.
Very hard to do in 2003's animation editor, so I feel like there's some hidden talent here)

This definitely has my vote for 2021! I love it! I laughed so much my jaw and face hurt like hell!

Admittedly I'm over selling this a bit, but I loved every second of this, lol!!
This was very cool awe! please make more!! XDD

Honestly wish people made more goofy inter-community games like this, be a cool contest idea.
Move over Pom, this is the new best game ever uploaded to RMN. It has action, drama, terror, romance, everything that makes a story be remembered for centuries.

10/10 - Misao of the decade.

(The secret ending is the canon ending, it opens the way for the sequel where Awe gets his revenge)
I just got done playing through this (and reaching both endings!) and I have to say, the comedic timing and delivery is absolutely beautiful. The rtp tracks used fit perfectly. The custom skill animations are incredible. The skills themselves are both thematically solid and easy to comprehend on a gameplay level.
You got some raw talent there, Awe.

One thing I would have done though, is to let the player walk around and do the poking before encountering ozzy, both for a little more interactivity and a moment to save the game before the epic title bout.

While you were making this, I was tempted to ask for my devsona to make it in, though the concept of obtaining an existential crisis seemed a bit steep of a price and I didn't want to make development time on your end take too long. (not to mention I was neck-deep in left beef panel drawing @ _@)

Regardless, I am proud of how well you've honed your drawing skills and your sheer high-level memery, and I hope you can use this successful release as a springboard to your next one.
