Yeah I got my inspirations from Grave Encounters, Ghost Adventures, Gonjiam: Haunted Asylum and the ghost hunting videos on YouTube while creating the setting of this game :)
I've been playing for a bit and I can't seem to complete the puzzle in the room of paintings. Is there a different puzzle I have to complete first, or is the only clue the one on the statue? None of the combinations I try seem to work.
The game is really interesting already, though! I haven't seen many horror games made in mv, so this is really cool!

The etching on the knight statue mentions "light bearers" so you have to choose the paintings that depict this. The solution is

On the other hand, I have no idea how to proceed further after entering the room with many mannequins. The object I need to grab is in the small section of the said room but the floor is now cracked and I can't get to it. Also, I cannot enter the library because of the ghost and there's no octagram in front of it to place a doll onto.

You have to look for a wooden plank and place it on the cracked floor. As for the library's octagram, it's in another room near the library. Thanks for playing and good luck!

I've checked every single room on the second floor and still cannot find the octagram. The master bedroom is too dark to see and has no lamp to light. Also, is the wooden plank in the library? It's the only area I haven't checked yet.
Update: Turns out the octagram was in the adjacent room next to the library which I had to avoid the ghost to get in. Now I've made it to the sanitarium and am stuck in the room with chairs. The note mentions number of chairs (which is 16 btw) but the code for the box is a 6 digit number and 16 is incorrect. some of the chairs are facing different directions.

There are 6 tables in the room, each table has different number of chairs, that should give you a hint for the code... the directions of the chair are irrelevant.

I really love the game! I like the concept and story line, I also like the doll mechanic <3 the puzzles are nice and the hints are helpful. I already got the B ending, and I really want to check the other ending. Though I'm a bit stuck at the sanitorium.
I have the empty shotgun but I can find any shell? And there are still some lock doors. I think I have explored every room except the locked ones and I don't think I saw any other keys?

In the end room with Sandy I saw a tiny sparkle but I can get around her. I tried running out of the room and enter again to see if she spawn further but apparently not. Do I need to use the shotgun? But I can't find the shell

Yes,
the easiest way will be using the shotgun on her so she won't get you. You can still move around her, get the item and exit though.

I think I've found a glitch. Idk if this is the place to report it so I'm sorry if it is not. I'll put it behind the spoiler thing though.
ADDITION: I've gotten ending C however I find myself completely clueless on how to proceed to any other endings. I have an idea of what to do but it's impossible so I must be missing something.
I put the doll on the right octagon in the room with the three octagons and can now pick up the doll repeatedly while the doll stays put. I have three dolls now, just from that one doll. Thought you might want to know about that since it's kind of an exploitable bug.

i've found 2 out of 3 bloody keys for the door upstairs. I think the last key is in the room with the three ghosts because theres a sparkly thing in there but I can't get into the room.

Yes you're right, one of the key is in there. The other endings will require you to unlock the door with 3 padlocks.
