Wildsilver is the fourth JRPG created by Great Potion Games.

It tells the story of two girls named Velven and Soire who live in a strange old temple deep in the forest. When venturing into a nearby cave, the sisters were attacked by a Basilisk, and Soire was inflicted with the creature's slow-acting petrifying poison. There is a way to save her: the Elixir. Can Velven gather the ingredients in time?

Wildsilver will feature …

  • about 15 hours of playtime
  • an epic and emotional story with several plot twists
  • a turn-based battle system with an active-time option
  • a four-character party with a female protagonist
  • a lot of character customisation in terms of stats and abilities
  • medium difficulty with optional challenges
  • legendary equipment
  • puzzles
  • collectibles
  • quests
  • secrets
  • breakable urns
  • British English
  • continuous patches and support (as always)

The demo could be considered a condensed version in terms of gameplay. It includes most of the characters, skills, equipment, items and enemies that are planned for the full game. There's no plot, however, no quests, no puzzles. The game elements and locations may or may not be part of the full game. That depends on your feedback! :)

Nice! I love the way you handle the maps, it's neat and cute. I'll give it a shot. Subscribed! *Quick question, is this still a demo or completed? You say it's a demo in the game description, but the thread status is completed.

Thank you! :) I'm glad you like it!

As far as the status is concerned: It's complicated. :D You see, this demo is a bit different. While most demos are simply the first x minutes/hours of the full game, this one is its own thing.

I've just started working on the full game, and the first area — the forest — turned out quite similar to the demo version, but after that, the areas will be completely different. The full version may or may not contain some of the maps and NPCs the demo contains. It will be very similar in terms of gameplay, however — unless your feedback tells me I'm on a completely wrong track. Thus far, people seem to like it, though. :)
Gameplay wise, the game is fine.

The frame rate goes down in the forest due to the light. In my opinion, the lights in the forest are unnecessary, because you are outside, and it's not like the forest gives a feel that it has so many trees. I would leave that light for caves and the houses, which I like that look in the houses you visit. But to be honest, those overlays used in the game, the frame rate to go down.

Aside from that I enjoyed the game.

The difficulty goes up in the cave, though, freaking annoying LOL.

Does turning off 'Special Effects' in the options menu help? :)

That helps, and since a beta for another game I close my internet browser while playing MV and MZ games.
So at least those games don't crash anymore because of the memory leak.

I am nearing the end (only the boss in the cathedral is still undefeated) but curious if the special fountain has a secret.

If not I will tackle the final boss and post two links here.
A guide and a bug report (yeah, there are bugs).

The fountain can be used to get (back) rare items you have missed or sold. The 'blanks' (in this 'lottery') give you random premium prizes (like Extra Lives). There's nothing exclusive, though.

And yes, please post your bug report! Version 0.4.2 is already in development, so I might have found and fixed a few of your bugs already, but you never know. :)

Thanks for playing! Hope you enjoyed it!
Guide Version 0.4.1
Bug Report

I was a bit disappointed of the level cap, but for a demo it was ok.
In my guide you see how I tackled problems with bosses.

As you really get so many different items from the Village fountain, I was really disappointed that the Cathedral fountain has only 3 different draws.

I only grinded there to get money for Rusty Coins.
Whoa, Firefly! :O Thanks for the bug report, but thanks even more for the guide! It's so detailled! I love guides — remember when SNES RPGs had guide books? —, and it's very cool to see one for your own game.

Awesome, thank you! :) It's on my watchlist!
A pretty extensive update has been released!

Patchlog 0.4.2

Do you like the changes? :) Anything else you would like me to have a look at?
There have been two updates recently. :)

0.4.3
  • Fixed a bug that would allow you to recruit 5 party members and thus deactivate enemy encounters entirely (because the enemy troops are selected based on the number of party members, and the case of 5 party members is undefined).
  • Added the Fairy of Fixes, found in front of the Cathedral, who can remove the 5th party member (and swap between the two options).
  • Fixed a minor bug.

0.4.4
  • Attack Seal: Fixed an error that would crash the game when a battler with this state tried to counterattack.
  • Mila: Added a new hint explaining the encounter cooldown.
  • Hazy Lake: Added the missing jump to the southwestern island.
  • Fairy of Fixes: You can now properly cancel out of the character choice presented to you by the fairy in front of the Cathedral.
