This ancient land has existed since the dawn of time, with the mystic deserts of Adalet to the north, the night-shrouded spires of Valdern to the south, and the buried ruins of civilizations long past in the west.

Something is stirring deep in the bowels of the underground, below even the buried remains of forgotten kingdoms. Infernal forces have begun to wake and the secrets of the depths are bubbling to the surface.

Summoned by the Princess of Adalet, Lynette, a fallen champion from Rezael, teams up with Vivica, the new prodigy from the School of the Unwavering Blade, to try to help solve the mystery of Izrand, where monsters have arisen and threaten the peace of the land. They will gather their allies, meet their soulmates, encounter romance and despair and more in the abyss below the surface.

  • A JRPG-style adventure featuring a party of at least six awesome ladies and sapphic romance!
  • Takes place in the same world as Luxaren Allure, but you can enjoy it even without playing the previous adventure.
  • A Job system by Fomar0153 with over 20 job classes unlocked over the course of the game!
  • Character art and illustrations by MakioKuta!
  • Co-written and edited by Sooz!
  • Character sprites by Avee, Mirak and unity!
  • Battle animations by unity and JosephSeraph!
  • Side View CTB Battles, original graphics/tilesets/animations, all that good stuff.
  • More difficulty settings and quality of life options!

Cast:

The great-granddaughter of the paladin hero Estes, Lynette has pushed herself to the limit hunting down demons and the undead in order to prove that she is still worthy of Razael's light. She's determined to fight evil wherever it lurks, at whatever cost to herself, and her increasingly strict ideals are taking a toll on her. And now, on top of it all, she has a beautiful princess to impress!

The new rising star of the School of the Unwavering Blade, Vivica has traveled from the Isles of Luxaren to find adventure and further challenge herself as a warrior. Though she's always eager for opportunities to improve herself, the challenges in Izrand may prove to be more than she's prepared to handle.

The Princess of Adalet, Esmeray has gathered a party of heroes to investigate the origins of the infernal monsters invading her country. Steadfast and dedicated, but sometimes a little bit reckless, she has transformed the once-abandoned southern fortress into a headquarters for the party.

A talented court mage from Adalet and good friend of Princess Esmeray. She specializes in wind magic. Her family boasts a long line of seers, prophets gifted with brief glimpses into the future. Thanks to years of studying with the Eldridge Lodge, she has a deep well of esoteric knowledge. Thanks to years of working with nobles, she has a pragmatic and stonefaced manner.

A mysterious fell knight, Neoma trained for years in Izrand's ancient subterranean tunnels to learn the infernal sword arts. Little is known about her or her origins, but she is famed as a skilled warrior. Can her strength in battle convince Lynette to accept an ally who wields dark powers?

A descendant of the vampiric aristocrats of Valdern, Tiphina is a talented druidess of the now-decimated Divine Forest sect. When invaders destroyed her sect's main temple and persecuted its adherents, Tiphina returned to Valdern in despair, feeling empty and without purpose. Princess Esmeray's summons has given her a new direction to strive for, and she plans to give it all she's got!

A very normal human being, Odette is curious, playful, and just wants to help out! Like any completely average human, she can learn monster skills, and takes on classes based on defeated bosses in a very mundane and unremarkable fashion. She's a human!

Game is very much in an early prototype stage so please expect possible incomplete maps and some placeholder graphics. Final game length will be around 15 hours, estimated. Game completion target is a nebulous "sometime this decade" with at least two years needed for development if not more.

CSS and page in general is still a work in progress XD

Progress and More Sprites Galore!

One of the biggest obstacles to making faster progress in Izrand is that I thought I should do all the tilesets by myself, with no help and no resources that anyone else made, as when it came to Luxaren I did all the tilesets there by myself.

I recently decided this mindset is silly, as it's slowing down the project significantly. I'm using a lot of different tilesets than Luxaren here and I'm using tons of placeholders that it's going to take a long long time to make all those resources.

The first thing I've done is started using Caz's amazing Pixel Fantasy tileset pack to fill in gaps in my own tilesets. For an example of how that looks, here is Hayal Forest Road, where the actual road, boxs, wooden barriers and the guard house are from Caz's pack:

Thanks so much for making such an awesome pack, Caz! :DDDD This is going to save me (and my poor hand) a lot of work haha!

Tilesets of other areas are being completely, slowly, but I hope to amp up tileset production soon too! It'll be nice to share screenshots that I haven't been sharing because of placeholder assets.

Here is the harbor where the game begins, for example!

In other news, Avee is still hard at work doing character sprites for the game, and they are still turning out absolutely amazing! He is so good at translating the fine details of a character's design into sprite work! :DDD

I guess this doubles as a secret introduction to some characters you probably haven't seen before, haha! Hope this gets you curious, and a huge thanks again to Avee for all the hard work and attention to detail!!! :DDDDDDDDDDDD

Thanks to everyone for sticking around! I know development time on this is slow (a lot of it's on me for biting off a lot with this project, haha) but I'm determined to see this all the way to release, no matter how long it ends up taking.

Thanks so much for the enthusiasm, everyone! :DDD I didn't expect the page to get approved so quickly, so I'm still working on it, but I am so jazzed to have you all aboard! ^_^
So I haven't looked at RMN in four months, and a random (?) AO3 ping this morning made me think that I should, so I did, and now I see LA's sequel announced just one day beforehand. Apparently I check RMN exactly often enough. :-P Also: Wooooooooot!

I'm so hyped for adventures with my favorite genuine human Odette <3
sincerely HYPE and it's not because i got to work on it (but also THANKS it's been FUN)

this looks really sick. and you always deliver. sucks i haven't played your latest stuff (i rarely reserve time to play stuff anymore T_T) but every time i sat down to play any of your stuff it has moved me in many ways and also gripped me for hours on end!!

Regarding class systems: "but not all characters share all classes" is my fave thing!!! No shade on games with a blank slate party (I love those as well) but this is such a fun spot to meet halfway -- still deep with a world of options for the player, but with a slightly more curated gameplay experience and, most importantly, this is a really nice canvas in which to express each character. I love that a lot.
Also I love to see the rare times an RPG Maker game allows itself to iterate on class systems. I am HYPE. Have I said that?

Besides that, it's a sequel to one of the most consistently fun experiences I've had in the community. like. yee i'm hype! have i already asked if i said that? uhhnn ok maybe it's time to end this post. godspeed! and,,, take your time to enjoy the process! <3

Yeah, I get that that'll be an issue for some people, and I had at least a couple of comments to that affect for Luxaren. And perhaps I should add some guys to future Allure games some day.

But at the end of the day I very much live by "make the game you want to play" and when I was coming up with party members, these are the characters I came up with and wanted to write for and have as a party. I get that some people won't like that and that's totally okay. This game isn't going to appeal to everyone.
Ah, benos is just being silly. Luxaren's cast was all-girl, so there should be absolutely no expectation for a formula change here. If you think it might be a problem, just add a prominent male NPC whose tough, cool and funny. Like Erick from WaUTaH.

Yay Maki! <3 :DDDD
I played Weird and Unfortunate Things Are Happening last year and loved it, and it led me to play a few other RPG Maker games including Luxaren Allure, and eventually make an account here. So, thank you for making those games, and I'm excited for this one!
