Kes, a self-proclaimed freelancer, has journey to the small town of Grennia. All is well as she reads a book at the Luna Library, until a courier bursts in. Kes overhears that she'd gotten attacked in the middle of a delivery... over a book, of all things!

Deciding to help the courier get her delivery back, Kes gets wrapped up in something only slightly larger.

Notes:
*An overall lighthearted story of six unlikely people searching for... J:USTICE!
*A tale that spans roughly six hours-- even less, if you decide to use an item that lets you breeze through battles!
*Node-based dungeon navigation.
*Simple and quick town navigation.
*Combo-based battle system featuring six characters with 12 unique skills each.

NOTE: In it's current state, this is a complete game which should take roughly 6 hours. However, I plan to release an updated version with no new story content, just fixed issues, down the line (such as music looping issues). I would greatly appreciate any other feedback for this game as I work on this updated version, especially when it comes to battle balancing.

(Final) Updated Version Is Here!

Hello! The final major update for Seeking J:USTICE is now available to download on itch.io (linked in download page)! Many fixes have been implemented, which you can read about below.

Thank you for the comments, support, and feedback! This is basically the "postmortem" phase, so I'll just say that this was a fun game to work on! I learned a lot with this one.

Also, this is an unencrypted game, meaning that if you own RPG Maker MV, you have my permission to go into the www folder and put the files into an empty project for research purposes.

Now, the fixes:

General:
Fixed audio looping issues.
Fixed enemy appearance issues in certain training sigils.
Improved battle balancing.
Created the "?" nodes for Frostflame Tundra.
Attempted to make chain inputs more responsive.

Skills/States:
-Added an animation for Telekinetic Drop.
-The Breaker exclamation correctly shows for every character's "Right+Down+Down" chain.
-Vivian's starting technique is now "Get Well Soon Card".
-Fixed as many skill & state issues I could find (let me know if there are any I missed!), and altered a few skills.
-Quin's "Strip Down" has been renamed to "Armor Strip", and now inflicts DEF-- and RES-- on 1 foe.
-Kes' "Graceful Earth Sigil" now revives, as well.
-Libra's "Crushing Drive" now removes all of 1 foe's stat buffs, and attempts to inflict all stat debuffs for 2 turns.
-Quin's "Power Trick" works correctly.
-Libra's "Hidden Dagger" and "Axe Kick" Breakers' effects have been swapped.
-"Get Well Soon Card" and "Bright Thorns" now correctly heal allies instead of damage.
-Silencer and Arrogant Counter now have turn limits (as well as other states that were meant to have turn limits).
-Rama's "Seeker's Eye" correctly lowers evasion.
-...And more!

Items/Equipment:
-Altered the costs of certain items.
-Altered the effects/potency of certain items and off-hand equipment.
-Added the "Rude Beat" item. This instant-use item raises the user's aggro for 2 turns, and can be bought in the merchant tent.
-"Holy Harp" and "Charging Horn" are now instant-use.
-"Centering Orb", "Clearance Crystal", and "Body Regulator" now target all allies.

Graphics:
-Fixed Kes' damaged sprite in cutscenes.
-New title/gameover screen.
-New game icon.

Known Issue:
-When selecting "Order" in battle, technique popups will disappear for the remainder of the battle.

Thanks again for the feedback, and for those who haven't played Seeking J:USTICE, I hope you enjoy this version!

i cant find save games

Thank you for letting me know! For now, going into the "www" folder and creating a new folder inside it named "save" should fix that!
I'm not sure what happened to the save folder, but i'll definitely have that fixed in the next update! Sorry that happened!

EDIT: Just updated the game to hopefully fix this issue! Thank you again for letting me know!
