Ever since May 2022, a file named "Omega Genesis" has been spread in small forums, imageboards and communities throughout the internet. What seems like a cute puzzle game at first hides a variety of mysterious secrets around every corner. There is nothing known about the original creator "Samuel Lazarus", who (besides putting their name in the game) seems to have no digital footprint and is not interested in the discourse around the game. The earliest someone we contacted aquired the game was in early May, where they downloaded it from a link, posted in a thread on a popular imageboard. Up until now the only way to get the game was to get in contact with one of the few, who downloaded it. Now the game is finally available for everyone to explore for themselves.

Please proceed with caution as the game features frightening visuals and hasn't been fully explored by the community yet! We cannot tell you what you might encounter. Play the game at your own risk!

I finally played through this and WOW - this has been criminally overlooked. I absolutely loved everything - when it's not being scary, it's just a really fun game to play through, and when it goes for horror, it's got some genuine spooks. The puzzles feel challenging to solve, but I never found myself getting stuck on them and managed to beat the game without using a walkthrough as well. The graphics are really cute, and I recognize the site where you got them from, but still, massive props for using them so well even if they aren't custom!

Things like the item menu give me the impression you've got a great grasp of rpg maker as an engine and I'm honestly ready to play anything else you may end up making! Will definitely look into trying to get this featured on the front page at some point, I really think more people should play it. I might do a youtube video talking about it as well at some point, but I can't promise on that.

Oh - and if I'm correct and the "This isn't for you" on the tagline is a reference to House of Leaves, then bonus points for that too ;)
Sorry for the late response!

Ayy thank you so much, I really appreciate the kind words! This means so much to me and I already started working on my next project a few months ago. I had to pause my projects for a while bc of real life stuff. I think I just tried to kinda get my voice out with Omega Genesis, but my next game is something I'll take a bit more serious to the point, where I can't just say "Oh that was just a small project for fun". It's going to be a very different experience compared to Omega Genesis. I'm really looking foward to when it's finished. I think (and hope obviously lol) that the next game will have more of an impact in the RPG Maker/indie horror scene compared to Omega Genesis. But even then anytime someone stumbles over the game and sends me a little message it feels like my soul is ascending to heaven haha. So thank you so much for taking the time.

And thank you for wanting to promote the game, that is very sweet of you. Please don't feel any pressure or anything, if you just don't find the time that is totally cool, I'm just super happy people still find their way to this little project lul.

And yeah it is haha. The entire idea of the game was based on House of Leaves with an unreliable narrator slowly spiraling down and fooling the audience into thinking that the medium of the story could be non fictional and the actual work of a crazy person. I love stuff like that. But in my attempts of trying not to copy it too much I guess I accidentally started copying Mandela Catalogue too much... ^-^"
