The tales passed down since the dawn of the Golden Age speak of this place, the world that the mortals called home. Many branches of this lore speak of its death and rebirth that was sparked by the rise and fall of the deities that held sovereignty over it. And although the inevitability of death that comes with the blessing of life is spared on no living being, there were those who sought immortality through their acts that they, with their imperfect vision, saw as the will of the Divine.

For the sake of one mortal who was not born of this world, those who inhabit the kingdom of Zilmurik must speak to him and settle the inquiries this youth presents. Open your ears to the words of these spirits, and embrace these Tales from Zilmurik.

I implore you to listen carefully to how the acts of these individuals were sparked by their innermost desires, fueled by deep-seated flaws, and how the path of decay and rebirth that followed was born of their own limited perception.

Tales from Zilmurik: Collector's Edition

As further progress is made to the final revision of Tales from Zilmurik, a realization was struck: what should become of the original 2K versions of 2009 and 2011? Should they be removed from history, or should they be combined into a single download under a new name to allow me the freedom to overwrite the main download when the new version is completed? I decided on the latter.

I'm proud to announce that the Tales from Zilmurik: Collector's Edition is now live. This release contains both of the older versions of the game (its origin and the revision) in one handy download. If that wasn't already enough, look forward to the GOLD release of the Collector's Edition that will contain history concerning the development of both versions and some insight into the lore of the world, with all spoilers intact! Who knows, you may find something you hadn't considered before, and perhaps, some hints towards the future of the Tales from Zilmurik lore!

Wow I gotta say the maps are a good example of RTP done right.
I admire any game completed in that phenomenally short amount of time that remains cohesive enough to play. Maybe I will download this eventually just for fun or something.
I am not much of a fan of the old 2k RTP but somehow this just looks.. right.
I would like to download this and give it a spin... but there's no link. I'll recheck tomorrow, though. Looks pretty okay thus far and it's completed!

EDIT: The main download link is available.
Well, I liked that a fair bit. Nothing like a little simple and classic game, eh? I'd review it but you don't have a download set on the game page itself, so it seems that I can't.

can't make a bad game if you don't finish any games

There may be a new version coming out for this game soon that will update it to more of my nowadays standards.
is this game rich? may I have some gold?
I am confused at the completed tag when the 2010 download is still a demo.

I suppose I should change it to production.
I've been following Corfaisus's works for sometime.

He always makes the best use of RTP in an excellent unique way that breaks the fixed mold.

Thank you.
I'm sorry but the game is awfully to short and it could of been really better...
I haven't beaten the demo just yet, but I will say that this is one of the better RTP games I've played. Story's kinda pedestrian, but otherwise, well-done!
It's possible to block your way out of the room with the statue puzzle in the ice cavern. :/

I'll get right on to fixing this.

EDIT: Now upon entering the room, a message will come up telling the player that should they need to reset the position of the statues, pressing any cancel key will do just that. This feature, however, has just now been implemented and is not present in the current demo.
Just a question...
Please tell me, why is it that whenever I look at the front page I see your game in the lastest games to play list?
Do you reupload it constantly just so it stays there?

Because I swear, it is ALWAYS there, ALWAYS.

If it were up to me, I would only have this game appear on the front page once, and that would be when the final version is released, instead of how it's set up now where every backup bumps it to the front.
