LEGAL NOTICE

Rise of Myth is a role-playing game made using RPG Maker VX Ace. It uses the 5E System Reference Document (5ESRD) as a primary component of the story and rules of the game. The following is a detailed designation of materials Rise of Myth is using from the 5ESRD as required by section 2 of the Open Gaming License Version 1.0, and a detailed designation of Intellectual Property belonging exclusively to the developer of Rise of Myth, and exemptions permitting certain entities and organizations to use Rise of Myth's specific Intellectual Property as they see fit.

1. Notice of Open Game Content

Rise of Myth uses material from the Open Gaming License Version 1.0. The license itself is not Open Gaming Content, but an open license to use content released in 5E System Reference Document. 5ESRD material may only be used under the Open Gaming License Version 1.0 and the full text of the Open Gaming License Version 1.0 must be provided with any product using 5ESRD.

2. Open Gaming License Version 1.0

OPEN GAME LICENSE Version 1.0a The following text is the property of Wizards of the Coast, Inc. and is Copyright 2000 Wizards of the Coast, Inc ("Wizards"). All Rights Reserved.

1. (h) "You" Not for resale. Permission granted to print or photocopy this document for personal use only. System Reference Document 5.12 or "Your" means the licensee in terms of this agreement.

2. The License: This License applies to any Open Game Content that contains a notice indicating that the Open Game Content may only be Used under and in terms of this License. You must affix such a notice to any Open Game Content that you Use. No terms may be added to or subtracted from this License except as described by the License itself. No other terms or conditions may be applied to any Open Game Content distributed using this License.

3.Offer and Acceptance: By Using the Open Game Content You indicate Your acceptance of the terms of this License.

11. Use of Contributor Credits: You may not market or advertise the Open Game Content using the name of any Contributor unless You have written permission from the Contributor to do so.

3. Designation of Open Game Content

Rise of Myth is an RPG video game made using RPG Maker VX Ace and it uses material from the 5E System Resource Document (5ESRD). This material is named as follows:

(1) The rogue, found in the Classes section of the 5ESRD on pages 39-41.
(2) Character Advancement, Experience Points, Hit Points and Hit Dice, Class Features, Alignments, and Language, found in Beyond 1st Level on pages 56-61.
(3) Equipment (generally), including scrolls, potions, armor, and weapons, found on pages 62-74.
(4) Rules for using feats found in the Feats section on page 75.
(5) Using Ability Scores section in its entirety. Pages 76-83.
(6) Making an Attack in its entirety (with the exception of ranged attack), and Damage and Healing (with the exceptions of Falling Unconscious, Death Saves, and Knocking Out a Creature) in its entirety from the section Actions in Combat, pages 93-98, as these features are easily adapted to RPG Maker VX Ace's base combat system.
(7) Cantrips, Saving Throws, and Attack Rolls found in Spellcasting, pages 100-104.

The above is a full list of all materials used from the 5ESRD. All other materials used are from other sources or created specifically for Rise of Myth by the developer.

4. The Developer's Intellectual Property

The owner and the developer claim and hold the copyright of their original intellectual property found in Rise of Myth and other titles the owner and developer has created. The owner and developer of Rise of Myth shall not permit usage--with the exception of the streaming of let's plays, let's trys, or any other presentation in which the presenter is publicly playing the game as a means of review or promotion--of any materials unique to Rise of Myth including any music, sound effects, or art created by the developer unless licensed from the developer except for those entities that are specifically exempt at the end of this statement. The following shall not be used except by the express permission of the developer of Rise of Myth:

(1) The characters Yazrina Myth, Meena: The Nightmare Queen, Aeger, Waylon Harper, Penny Naddle, Matilda Restlin, Desiree: The “Dark” Elf, Nadya Seeker, Priscilla Nian, and Clova.
(2) The town of Mission Dusk, the nation of Errial, the city of Port Castor, or the World of Elestara.
(3) The elf type, Walder Elf.
(4) Any media using the name Rise of Myth in a manner that closely echoes the characters and story of Rise of Myth.

All groups and individuals in operation or a trusted associate (such as judges, organizers, etc,), Indie Game Making Contest: Rebirth, IGMC: Rebirth, www.rpgmaker.net, www.rpgmakerweb.com, www.itch.io, or any other organization associated with IGMC: Rebirth shall not be restricted by this document and shall have full rights of use for the IGMC: Rebirth competition.
