Reldof Village has always been your home, and for as long as you remember you've always lived with your dear grandpa, who taught you all about the great art of fishing. However, your grandpa has grown ill and has been bedbound for days now, the villagers of Reldof have tried all they could to help, but to no avail, grandpa can't be cured. It is at this time that grandpa tells you a story, a story he's always told you before going to bed, the story of the Atad Butterflies, mythical beings that, once caught and brought together, will grant you a single wish. It is said that the Atad Butterflies live deep underwater, in the bellies of mighty beasts. Grandpa tells you that "These are not myth nor legend, but real! Alas, I'm too sick to try and fish them."
Wake up!

Armed with this knowledge, you make a choice, to fish the mighty beasts and collect the Atad Butterflies. And so, you embark upon this great fishing quest, with nothing but a twig and your trusty dog by your side, you go worth, to get your summer wish!
The wish is a lie!

This game was made for the Swap in 3 Midde with Who? event.

Version 1.1 and looking forward

Ok, so here we are! I managed to finish a version of the game for the Swap 3 event, but in the rush of things I made a looping intro that you can't out of, oof. Welp, I upload a new version with that most egregious issue fixed and am currently working on fixing other issues, such as:

-The cave is deadly, due to a major oversight on my part, I need to rebalance most of it.
-Skills don't all work as intended, and some item drops don't work correctly either.
-Writing up some better endings.

Welp, final note, don't play version 1.0 unless you own RPG Maker XP and can fix that intro event, because you'll be stuck in a loop.

Hey there SweetCore, sure I wouldn't minde a playtester! I managed to release an unpoloshed mess for the Swap Event deadline, so there's a fair bit of playtesting to be done.

Ah yeah, that's a known issue, that happens if/when you fish without a bait. Someone (me) forgot to catch that case. >.<

For now just make sure to have both fishing rod and bait equipped. An update will exist... soon-ish (depends on Ozzy, not because his fault but because I leave all decision making to him because I'm evil >:D).
