Cora wakes up in the main hall of an abandoned train station. She has no memory of what happened before she woke up and an ominous silence is surrounding the area. It’s foggy outside the windows, the doors are locked and something disastrous seems to overtake the building… There are others, lost and confused like Cora. And there are also the shadows and deformed creatures lurking and crawling in the dark, waiting to draw them into the deep. Will she be able to find a way out?

„Skolios“ is a slow-paced psychological horrorgame made with the RPG-Maker 2003. It is heavily inspired by nightmares and the eerie yet beautiful atmosphere of lost places as well as some classic horror games. Skolios is free to play.

Minor Update

Hey guys, just a quick update post regarding Skolios.
First of all - thank you for your helpful feedback! This game is the first project I've released internationally and I'm super happy
about the responses so far! I've even received a message by someone who told me to release the game on Steam so they could buy it. :D
But of course that's not going to happen, this game and it's story are meant to be experienced for free. And everyone involved
agreed to contribute something as long as it's not a commercial project. (Like the soundtrack for example.)

I've updated the downloadlink a few times since the original release, because some people ran into errors in the first version.
That should no longer be an issue. I've also fixed a minor bug in an underground level half way through the game, translated a
text message that was still in german and added some RTP sound effects that were still missing in the last versions.
I hope everything runs smoothly now and those of you who already played it had a good time. Thank you!

Oh and also... a very late Merry Christmas!

Wooo, first sub! I saw Riggy play through a lot of this yesterday and ohh man, the amount of work you put into this game shows! The ambiance and the environments are so good, ohhh and the music!! It's an rpg maker horror gem :D
This one is very promising im definitely going to subscribe!
Thanks guys! :-)

@KoopaKush
Yea creating the environment took a while but I love doing that.
Seems like it was worth it, the responses so far are very heartwarming.
Thank you!
Hey Tasuva! Loved the game. Thanks for translating it to English, and I hope people get to spend some time with it, because it's worth it!

I'm having this error when I'm going towards the third map }8(

Oh damn. I'm so sorry grafotter. I've always tried to expect silly stuff like that but I guess you can't expect everything. That damn ß-letter.
Seems like nobody else had that error before though. I've changed the files names and uploaded a new version if you wanna try that out.
Thanks for letting me know!
Now I know why it looked so familiar. I played this game in german a while back. Never got to finish it, though.

Now it works, grazie. Well, at least I'm past the third map jeje

I get this error whenever I try entering the room hidden behind the furniture on the second floor.

and I get this error when I go left from the entrance.

also there's some untranslated german on the big hole in the hallway upstairs, it's not a big deal but I just figured I'd let you know.

I'm not sure if the errors are my fault but this is the first time I'm experiencing them ;;

Hey Blank! Well, that's embaressing. I thought I've caught all the error sources but I guess I did not. It's because we use the ß (sharp s) letter in german.
Which is such a common thing for us that it's easy to forget other countries don't use that. And filenames including that letter might cause errors.
Anyway - I'm glad you found them and told me. I guess other people did not experience these issues or were simply too lazy to tell me.
I've fixed them and uploaded a new version. And I translated the message box for the big hole on the upper floor, too. Thank you for your time!

The latest version I've uploaded yesterday should fix the exterior of the train station (where you have to follow the child). If you encounter any other errors with the new version, please send me a screenshot of your error message and I'll see what can be done.
Guys, I'm honestly so sorry for everyone who downloaded the last 2 versions and had errors during their playthrough. Translating stuff is more difficult than I thought. And every time I fix something, I break something else. At least that's how it felt but I guess that's a common thing for game devs. :D

Anyway. I've uploaded a new version again.
This time I've played the game and checked everything again to make sure you guys won't run into any error messages... again.
I think we're good now. Fingers crossed. If you still experience any major bugs or errors, please let me know.

@jhongyu
You were right, I did not notice these. Damn RPG-Maker.
If you have any savegame files from before, you can put those in the game folder of the new version I've just uploaded and use them to continue.
Glad..it works..thank you and now I can continue now.....
