Trip, a member of a scouting guild, has been tasked with investigating the remains of an old research facility after magical activity was reported within it. As he ventures deeper, he meets a peculiar man, and learns that a supposed monster is what has sparked the activity in these ruins. The two journey into the depths in search of the monster...

Gameplay notes:
*A 4-6 hour story of two people exploring an old facility for... entirely different reasons.

*2-character battle system focused on providing offense or giving support for the other ally.

*A quick, simple, menu-based dungeon exploration system. Fight, get treasure, overcome obstacles, and more!

*Both characters have a unique field skill to help make navigating through the 8 floors easier. Use them if you'd like, but they're limited on each floor. Be mindful!

A demo of this game was initially created for the "Event Event" Event, and uses the themes of these previous events:
+Muffle's 1-Dungeon RPG Game Jam
+A Rainbow of Positivity
+RMN Commonplace Book (Prompt 1, loosely. More evident in full version.)
Prompt 1: Demophon shivered when the sun shone upon him. (Lover of darkness = ignorance.)

Thank you!

I wasn't expecting to see One Final Burial as part of the community spotlight of the month when I checked the front page! So I was already pretty shocked & excited. Then I saw "Check out the Misao winners" & started doing backflips n shit you really had to be there.

It really makes me happy to see that this game not only stuck with some of yall, but did so enough to be nominated for several awards... including goty?!?! And to win the "Best Event Game" award along with two other developers was an honor! I always take a little look through the Misao's whenever they pop up, but never thought one of my games would be nominated in there, let alone win something.

So, THANK YALL!!

I just wanna quickly post here before I forget: This was really well done!

orochii was playing this on stream last night and I noticed this game used a lot of the event catergories really really well. Like there's a bit of the Muffle's 1-Dungeon RPG Game Jam and A Rainbow of Posi2vity but it's done really really well! It's incorporated into the story!

The story is great, the dialogue is great, It's funny but genuine, the characters are also great, I love the art, I love how it's very minimalist and simplistic, but also very expressive. I also love the little details on the characters cape and stuff, cause it has this little texture like quality? - they're video game sprites, but it's almost like they're made of felt or construction paper? like south park?. (I'll probably edit this post to show some of the screenshots)

This was fun, it was bit long, but it kept things interesting enough, that you sort of breeze by everything, that it feels really short - it kind of reminded me of those really cool flashgames you'd find on newgrounds that you could beat in a few minutes. Definitely check this one out, this was a real standout for event event.

This was a really neat surprised, kudos to those who worked on this.♥ This was really great stuff!
I can't stress enough how much I enjoyed this.

Thank you very much! I just finished watching orochii's VODs, and I'm glad yall enjoyed it! I had a lot of fun listening to the dialogue being read in those voices lmao.
