Dug up from the grave.

So I made a really dumb decision and brought this back into production. It's just me making little notes for now and working on some gameplay prototypes in my down time, I'll kick it into gear once I finish my current project. I'm also undecided about going commercial with it or even if it's going to be turn based for that matter. I've been gradually moving away from the RPG genre for the last few years now, don't particularly enjoy making or playing them anymore.

But yeah this is definitely way down the pipeline so don't expect any updates in the near future D:

games that have a lot of dialog are not necessarily a bad thing
its personal preference really in this case the dialog it self entertained me so i really did not mind their being less battles

the demon system was really cool too how the 1st time you fight them it shows their form then a ball of light after loved it :D!
if you ever come out with a updated version of this id love to play it
Hey! Thanks for the lets play! Just looked at your edits in your previous post for the first time as well! Sorry for not getting back to you about the bugs. Looking back at it all, there was a few neat ideas here or there e,g teleporting with zeroshift or using artillery strikes in battle.

Other than the bugs, I do believe the game was a little too chatty for its own good. If I was to go back to this game eventually, I'll proberly cut down on the time travel, confusing flashback plot and just focus on Sparrows post apocalyptic battle with demons. Thank you again for the feedback!

will post link to P1 of playthru soon as its finished uploading
again its to bad this was canceled i really loved this partly because of Sparrows personality and being a girl! :D with a sword even! :D

:D
np i like looking for interesting things that may deserve more attention then they have received
if i enjoy it ill make a playthru of it on my youtube channel which is still very small but i do it for the fun and to add more awareness of less known things and things i like ect :D

ive never attempted to make a game my self
but ive watched a good amount of tutorial videos(over 30
so i get the idea of how tough it is to make a game especially when you need to make custom effects, drawings(i cant draw :()ect

so w/e work people do on these games i appreciate it much more now then i used to and understand why people end up dropping them as its too much work and they may lack the time, knowledge, money, help or skill if nothing else to achieve their goals

i suppose ill play this one next i have so many rpgmaker games alone to go thru lol

Edit-
a couple grammar issues and 1 missing trigger(with that guy who gives you c4 your able to ignore that and go find him near the gate which should be impossible until after you finished using the c4 and he leaves)just to note them
other then that and some areas that you can walk into/over no serious flaws i noticed
if you talk to him by the demon gate b4 doing the c4 south of their you will be unable to continue the game
the same if you choose not to check the dead solders mouth you get get a second chance and must reload b4 that event

other then that i really loved this im gonna make a playthru for it when im sure theirs nothing more to see
its a shame it was canceled i can still always hope one day it might get continued :D

Edit2-Finished the demo i was all hyped and had forgot it was only a demo
i cried a lil when that screen popped up ;(

Outside of the grammar and trigger issues up to the end it was very fun! :D
more people should try this

Edit3-seems ill need to hold off on the uploading for some reason at the start of the game the scene where you dodge missiles the screens frozen but the games not eventually you get hit and have to retry :(
can also go into the menu
if i can figure out why this is happening now ill do the recording :(

Gonna get this now looks very intriguing!be back with thoughts w/e i actually get around to playing it tho :3
also subbed :D

Wowsie! Wasn't expecting a comment here, but I regret to inform you the game has been cancelled for over a year :(

I must say though, A part of me misses the carefree days of developing this. And I might go back to it in a few years time, so I'll definitely keep the door open.

If you are interested in what I'm currently doing now you can check out my commercial venture Cover Your Eyes. And because you made my day just now I'll guarantee you a free copy when it's eventually released :)

Thank you for the reminiscence \o/

Nothing in several months. Well, just played through it myself, and for the most part I enjoyed the game. It's a tad confusing where to go at first, but not terribly difficult to figure out, and the story is a bit refreshing compared to all the other games I've played (ie., instead of zombies we have demons, instead of saving the world the world has already been invaded).

My one big gripe is the battle system, but mainly because of how long the battles drag out. An example of this is that the first real boss has like close to 10,000 HP, and your character hits more or less from about 6 to 7 hundred. At that rate it takes about 15 rounds, and if you get hit with a Poison Attack it's all but over for you.
I remember I took some time to find the teleports. I don't even understand at all why I should go around the buildings rather than just fight the gate, but it's okay.

(btw, if I had to fight that washing machine again, I would've deleted the game)

Sorry, the above post was a bit harsher than I meant it to be. I meant just now to go back and edit it to soften the tone a bit, but you got to it too fast.

Turns out my last save was from before the symbols disappeared so I've been able to proceed.

I'll have more to say in my review, naturally.

EDIT: Goddamnit the programming in this game is awful. After beating the incredibly annoying Henry the Washing Machine battle on my THIRD try I tried to leave the room, only to somehow trigger the battle AGAIN by stepping in the same general area that triggered it in the first place. Not pleased.

>:(
Oh man. To be honest I don't a clue whats happend. I'll take a dive in the maker and see what could of caused the problem and reupload it if I fix it. Thanks for letting me know!

Edit: Yes I agree the presentation is awful, at the time I was in a rush to get a demo out as soon as possible. Your the first person to mention a error with the symbols. Though the general concenus from everyone who gave me feedback was bad grammer and questionable design flaws. I would suggest to redownload the game and start from scratch but then again it'll be a painful process for you to play through to that point again.

I left the map and those symbols disappeared. Also I tried that before and nothing happened. There were several blue symbols, I tried to use all of them to no avail.

When I left the map and came back, they were all gone. : (

No offense, StarSkipping, but...the graphics are nice and all but this game is really a frustrating POS in a lot of ways. It's kind of mystifying when so much effort was put into graphics and customization that so little effort was put into presentation (this thing is riddled with typos) or even just having the game WORK (any idea how I should proceed?).
Go to the blue building to the left of colin. Stand on top the Blue animation symbol pointing upwards. Press enter and you should teleport on the the ledge above you.

What the hell are you supposed to do to get past/inside the (first) demon barrier? I completely stalled out at that part and couldn't get any further.
The barrier was originally planned to have a blood circulationary system streched across it's exterior. E.g Pulsating veins and capillaries, with the C4 being placed upon the Aorta... But I got lazy and plonked a face on it instead, too much effort for one scene.

Monsters meanwhile are only limited to my imagination, if you see a 50ft mutated looking penis wreaking havoc, then you'll know I ran out of ideas.
After playing the demo...crap grammar be damned, this looks like it could be fun! Way more effort is put into it than all these VX games I keep seeing around here, I love how the demonic barrier is basically just a brick wall with the face, and Henry...oh man, Henry is what really sold it for me. I so hope there's gonna be more monsters like that.

Could do... But this would be cooler as a april fools joke next year.

(Hypothetical conversation)
StarSkipping "Hey Guys, I'm finally finished!"
RMN "Sounds sweet, lets have a play"
Star :)
RMN ...
Star "So what do you think?"
RMN "All I see is scanned panals from some graphic novel"
RMN "OH MY GAWD... IS THAT...
StarSkipping has now been banned

Yeah, I'll proberly go with your idea NewBlack.
You should do a version inspired by the Alan Moore version and hide it away in some horribly complex easter egg.

It's unfortunate that this project happens to have the same name as the incomparable Alan Moore's terrifying, terrifying foray into fan fiction/pornography.

Yeah tell me about it! I only learnt about the graphic novel the other week, I'll feel bad for a random passerby downloading thinking it's remake a of Lost Girls and all they get is anime inspired nonsense*. I'm keeping the name though =-=

*Not really inspired by anime... I hate the damm gerne!
