Hello!

My name is Tomas. I'm originally from Madrid but I lived in the UK for many years. English is not my first language, but I have sufficient understanding of it to make a game that isn't rife with grammatical errors and the like. I still have a bit of trouble with my phrasing sometimes, so I apologize in advance if you find any weird sentences in my game.

One of my passions is historical fiction. Most notably works by Evelyn Waugh and Edith Wharton. Basically, I'm really into early 20th century social fiction, so I can't help but have similar concepts within the stories I write.

Linus is a story I've had in my head for a couple of years. It's a simple story about a boy who is very much like a lot of us. He has his dreams and passions but because of the way society works, he is not allowed to pursue them and ends up a slave to the will of his family/loves/fate/ect. Combine this with a healthy serving of political intrigue and war and that's basically what you'll get from this game.

Gameplay wise, I will be honest in saying that it probably won't be as strong as some other games out there. It will have it's share of fun, challenging battles (yet none with the rage-inducing difficulty) and thoughtful puzzles. However, it will not feature an incredibly dynamic battle system or a lot of complex scripts. It will essentially be a very traditional RPG with an involved and intricate plot.

So yeah. That's about it as far as the game goes.

Lastly, I have to say that I am very glad that I found this community. The forum is filled with in-depth discussion and the articles posted here on game design are very enlightening. I especially like how passionate some of the older members are about certain games. It gives me inspiration to work on mine so that it can hopefully end up as a game that people can remember. I'm also looking forward to reviewing a lot of the games here.

Thanks for reading! I hope some of you play and critique the demo once I release it.
