One of the most critically acclaimed* Spanish RPG maker games now fully translated into English by Erilex (me), original creator of the game.

Dhux's Scar follows the misadventures of Elijah, a lowly, mediocre merchant that is suddenly faced with the chance of a lifetime: To earn a huge fortune by betraying the trust of one innocent little girl. Of course, things won't work out quite as smoothly as he intended. Little does he know that he is about to be dragged into a ruthless battle between powers that defy human comprehension. There will be blood. And tears. Not to mention painfully generic (yet entertaining in a trainwreck sort of way) plot twists.

The game contains plenty of the following:

-Custom graphics. Lots of them. Chipsets and panoramas are pretty much the only thing that isn't 100% custom (with a few exceptions towards the end of the game)
-Insanely difficult Challenging gameplay and battles.
-Two different endings.
-Pixelated blood and violence.
-Not so pixelated but still rather crudely drawn blood and violence.
-Religious overtones! Yay!

===IMPORTANT, READ BEFORE PLAYING:===
Dhux's Scar was created with the 1.51 Value! version of RPG Maker 2000, which adds some extra features such as increasing the maximum number of pictures being shown on screen, or allowing enemies to have up to 99999 HP. Using an older version of the editor to modify the game or play in test mode might have unexpected (and probably game-breaking) results. The safest thing to do is to play it directly from the executable.

Remember Faye and Gabrielle? Well, now you can experience their alternate universe adventures as magical girls in Angelic Virtues, a short 1 hour and a half-ish game made in 1 month for the IGMC 2022 game jam. I've just released an update that fixes some of the jam version's issues, so it's the perfect time to hop in!

If you are using Vista:

* Right click on a blank area of your Vista desktop
* Click personalize
* Click Window Color and Appearance
* Click the link at the bottom of the page that says “Open classic appearance properties for more color options”
* Click the effects button
* Either uncheck the box that says “Use the following method to smooth edges of screen fonts” or choose standard from the drop down list rather than the default ClearType
* Click OK
* Click Apply
* Click OK again and you are done

If you are using Windows XP:

Try installing this, going to Control Panel, double clicking on ClearType settings, and ticking off the "Enable font smoothing" box in the Advanced tab. This worked for some people who seemed to have the same problem when I released the Spanish version a while back.

I enjoyed the game, but I have to ask this...

Which of Enya's songs were used for "Under the sky and trees" and "World Map"?

Congratulations on being RMN's latest Featured Game. =)
I knew this game was going to be featured...
I wonder if I'll get featured someday....
Corfaisus: No idea, sorry. I probably shouldn't have renamed them in the first place...
Solitayre: Thank you!
I knew this game was going to be featured...

But of course! I never doubted it would.
I wonder if I'll get featured someday....

NO YOU WON'T. NOW GROVEL AT MY FEET AND BASK IN MY UNREACHABLE GLORY, YOU LOWLY PEASANT I trust you will.
And this has definitely been on my to-play list for a while, just I've been finishing up some other games as well as busy with other stuff.
Don't know why this is happening, but apparently the game uses side-battles (?), and whenever I am in battle, there are no characters on the screen until they actually go through with the battle animation. :(
I'm afraid that's not a bug, but rather the way it's supposed to look, since the game is made with RM2K and uses the default battle system.
It's not a bug it's a feature!

The game is also a featured game now. :D
Hey, that's cool. Congrats then, on mastering the system! ;)
Great game! Easily one of the best RPG Maker game I've ever played. Normally I hate games with a slow walk speed but the story and graphical style won me over. I'm glad I played through to the end. This game is definitely worth playing if you are looking for tough battles, conventional characters, or and over the top anime style story. However if you are looking to save the world, this is not your game.

can't make a bad game if you don't finish any games

This is game number 1492 in RMN's database.

Columbus sailed in 1492.

Columbus traveled from Spain to the just off of America.

This game traveled from Spanish to English.

Something awesome happened here.
are the saves in the towns supposed to work? because they don't. All i hear is a weird noise, the save dialogue box doesn't pop up at all and nothing saves. They work outside of the towns, but not inside or in other "safe" areas.
When you are stepping on a save point in a "safe" area, you can save from the menu.
ohhh boy do i feel like an idiot now haha :p thank you! the noise was so weird sounding it made it seem like something was wrong
actually another question if you don't mind, can you give a hint as to where I can find the number code for that hidden chest in the forest? I'm very curious as to what's in there and I think I'm getting close to finishing the game :)
The code will be revealed after you get the "bad" (A) ending. You won't really need the chest's contents if you get the "good" one on your first try.

Well, okay then.
