~Demo 1.5 notes~

BUG LIST:

*At the Junkyard, even if you have Todd in your party, the miner becomes a playable character. Needless to say, this makes the Junkyard much easier that it should be. The bug has been removed, but it is still accessible. I'm sur eyou all will love to take advantage of that :)

*Ashen's Mixing screen is ALLLL fucked up ;)

An update, yes. Here is some of the changes in this version of ~RaZor~ (for those who have not played the current version yet):

*Working game clock; The cellphone actually DOES something now!

*Various grammatical changes.

*Various changes made to the first half of the game, notably some added NPCs.

*More story reveleaded past the 1.1 release.

****UPDATE**** 09-10-11
Well, folks, despite the horridly misspelled and most likely incorrect English post that I had posted almost a year ago, there is no update to post of project ~RaZor~.
During the years of my enlistment in the United States Navy, many things of my past life were erased, one being the titular RPG ~RaZoR~. It was not intentional, but the project has been erased to the point where only this active download on RMN exists of it. I hearby name this current media 'Cancelled', though that does NOT mean I will be canceling this project as a whole. After countless hours of re-tracking and re-playing, there are several aspects of this game that need so much tweaking, it'd be be best remade. Perhaps I will come back and re-work the entire project and re-release to this crazy world known as RMN. I've enjoyed my time on and off from the RMN community and I guess I owe it to my fans and myself to finish this game. I intend to do so, but this time, hopefully not by myself. Take care, RMNers and to all the young gamers - enjoy life while it remains simple. Ta-ta.

I'll be damned.
Not only do people still play this game, but they go through it with a fine tooth and comb for the simple please of either enjoying it or bashing every obvious aspect of it. I am honored regardless.
I tell you what, folks. From where the last update ended, I have laready expaneded on. However, I have not touched htis project in.. well... probably over a year now, honestly, BUT seeing as to how I have a devoted crowd of fans and pro-testers alike, I would like to post this upload.
I'm doing. Tomorrow, RMNers, expect another demo update to a project that seems to only get empowered when it is gutted and seemingly abandoned for so long.

UPDATE 1-20-10
Hello again, RMN! I am here to report that I am indeed still alive.
The military has drained what little sanity I had left and also consumed what little time I already had. Aside from the asinine and wasteful life story I just wrote above, I finally logged onto RMN for the first time in almost 2 years. In doing so, I finally read the most accurate review of ~RaZoR~ to finally surface the web.

What does that mean as far as the progression for the project?
Nothing.
I will continue my painful and almost obnoxious 'art-form' until I deem this project complete. As I stated on the front page, the 2.0 release of ~RaZoR~ is still in the works and with this upcoming deployment, it seems that I will finally poke around with this.. "anti-game"... once again.
Thank you all for the support, but most of all...
I would like to thank the reviewer for giving the best feedback so far. Watch out, RMN... ~RaZoR~ is back to plague the net!

UPDATE 12-23-08
I finally released the update that I had PLANNED on uploading over 4 months ago before I left for basic training. It's not much, but I hope you all enjoy this small update to ~RaZor~. Enjoy.

UPDATE 8-15-08
Not much of an update but more of an indication that I am still alive. A lot of things have come that have kept me from working on the game (mainly having to sell my PC due to some financial issues), but hopefully, I can get everything square in due time. I am joining the NAVY so you may not hear from me for yet again a long time, but I want you all to know that your support and great comments are what keep this project running. Thank you for everything and sit tight... The world of ~RaZoR~ is going through some unique and intense changes.

UPDATE 12-11-07
Several astehetics finally changed, thanks to my faithful BETA testers! The battles are finally a little more balanced out as well as all the major bugs finally cleared out! A big thanks for all the support you all have given me and I hope that on the second release, RAZOR will indeed become a more enjoyable experience! :)

First public release of RAZOR uploaded to the RMN server.

Finished and released BETA v3.0 to my trusted few. Now begins the wait...

Submitted the Razor profile to the RM network. Added new in-game screenshots and the work on the final BETA before public release is still under works.

~What To Expect~

The world of ~RaZoR~ is full of decisions and surprises. Every decision or action you make will affect the game in some way. Many of the characters will only join based on certain actions you perform, while others will probably just remain simple NPCs. You will not be able to do everything or gain everything through just one play of the game.
You won't find flashy CBS(s) or CMS(s) here, so if you're looking for a game to rip the pretty battle system from, this game isn't for you.
I like games that focus more on the plot and character interaction than that of the constant raiding of dungeons and pointless level gaining to battle the next big boss with superhuman stats. I have classified this game as a Romantic SciFi, a bit awkward I must admit, never had much use for labels, but it seems the most fitting.
Though the main focus of the project is the characters and plot, that does not mean there will not be any game play. It will have random battles and bosses just as much as the next RPG, so you won't get off that easy. ;)
The game is rated 'M' for Strong language and suggestive themes. Recommended for Mature audiences.
Many of the hero sprites used in this game were custom-made using the Charas.Ex program. Gotta love random generators! :) However, many of the resources chosen for the game are not of my work nor do I claim them as my own. If you see a resource created or affiliated by you and it is not listed in my credits, please do not hesitate to contact me ASAP (contact info below). Also, a lot of the resources have been altered to fit my tastes, so if you see something slightly different about your possible resources, don't be alarmed - I will not distribute it under my name, it is strictly for use in my project.

-DEMO v1.1 changes-

OK, so basically, I went through and worked with the feedback my BETA testers gave me on their play around of Razor.

*Fixed the severe battle in-balance in many places, most notably in the Junkyard and boss fight, especially if you do the "solo" scenario.
*Added some new characters in a few places, NPCs and playables alike.
*Fixed some grammar errors pointed out to me.
*Fixed some fatal errors that were also pointed out to me, especially in the solo route.

And the rest is for you to find out :) It's not HUGE, but it makes the game a little more enjoyable, or at least more playable.
I'd better see some heavy downloads on this ;)
Even if you have finished it once already, why not try finishing it with a new character in this improved update of Razor? ^^

For those of you that downloaded the 10-5-2007 version of this demo, the start position is on the wrong map.
Just put the start position in the "Intro" map.
