Pronounced "Mill-ee-stone-ehs".
Today: Finish off the battle event framework.
January 15th: Apply new framework to existing original Generica battles
January 18th: Finish playthough of original Generica using new classes (yes that's possible!)
January 22nd: Finish creating the game (rough draft)! (hey, it's a small game AND I did the original Generica in 10 days start to finish, so this goal isn't as outlandish as it seems)
January 29th: Finish playthrough and refinement of rough draft.
February 1st: Release Generica: The Next Generation to public
BIG REVEAL:
I hinted at it in the timeline, but I'll re-iterate it here: you'll be able to play the original Generica game using the new classes from Generica: TNG. Also, I will make it possible to choose from the original Generica classes and use them play through Generica: TNG.
I haven't decided yet if I will make it possible to import your existing savefile from Generica and play throughGenerica: TNG, but it'd be possible to do.
What do you guys think of all that?
For fun here is a new screen:

That Green Goddamn dragon is the most annnoying thing to fight in every game I've had with one in it ever. (In DQM it was REALLY bad due to the fact it was a rank higher than most stuff you had, thus making it nigh impossible to defeat or capture.)
I am almost finished making the classes and the character selection screen for Generica:TNG. When I am done that I will be able to play the original Generica using the new classes, to test out their effectiveness.
A thought occurred to me: would anyone else like a copy of the game at that point to play through the original game using the new classes? Some feedback could be helpful in balancing and design.

Sorry about not getting to this sooner chaos. I forgot my stupid network cable at home when I flew to Atlanta (and the stupid hotel wireless network cannot be detected by my machine - I should call the front desk). I'll be picking up a cable at BestBuy tonight and will upload the game and send you the link.
I'm posting from a cafe computer on my break right now.

I've lost all my saves due to my external hard drive crash, so I planned to re-begin Generica 1 from scratch anyway. So if I can help testing, just ask. 8)

Just start a new game. Ignore the existing savegames.
I've been tweaking with the game a bit though - I found that the INT was too effective defensively, meaning that monsters who were spellcasters (and thus had higher INT) seemed immune to magic. :( So what I did was make spells Ignore Defense. Now the balancing is a little out of whack. I'm playing through the game right now and am fixing things as I go but you may run into issues.

I won't begin to play now, though, because it's 2:30 am here, but I guess that it can wait till tomorrow... ;)
