I'm temporarily blinded so excuse any speeling errors since I'm touch typing. This game was recoemmended to me. I don't actually know if it was recommended or not but it was mentioned asin "you should play this game shinan".

I wonder why. But I did. And I think my eyesight's coming back now...

It's a nice little game. It gets its point across very well, yet not too well. And if you actually look at it there's a couple of good desing choices in it. These things combined make for an experience that is designed to be slightly unpleasant but not unplayable.

Anyone can make a horribly unplayable game but it takes some skill to make a player want to keep playing a game like this. It's all about presentation. The music is catchy the graphics are interesting. They hurt the eyes (one section had me navigate through it with my eyes focused on a different part of the screen than the game) and they convey the kind of weirdness that people expect in...

Games like this.

I appreciate weirdness in games. Even though I know that weirdness is one of those guaranteed ways to get some easy attention it does tend to work. It doesn't always work (that's my way of saying don't do it if you don't know how to do it) but...

See I'm split on this. I could give it a high score because it succeeds in what it's trying to do. It gives the player enough incentive to go on "just a little bit more" by giving progress fairly often while being an utterly atrocious piece of game.

But it's also a pretty atrocious piece of game. In the end I'll say you should try this game if these kinds of games appeal to you (the slightly off-beat weird things). But if you're looking for a game-game it's not for you.

However I will say that games that take themselves a lot more seriously than this has worse game design concepts (this is post-review commentary, probably not part of the actual review). Upon picking up a certain item you immediately know what to do with it. The same with a certain collection-quest where you'll go to a location where the next step in the puzzle will seem obvious to you. There's only one place where things aren't obvious and that's a bit of a shame because otherwise this could have been an awesome example of a bad game with some really, really good design decisions.
