Where are the 50 stars located???

A:
All right, this is one hell of a spoiler. In case you're having trouble locating some stars, or you're hell-bent on finding them all for the sake of completion (or to help unlock the bonus ending—remember you still need all the monster sketches), here is the list of all 50 stars and how to find them:

Stars found in Prem:
1. Power Star: To get this one, you have to do a few things: first talk to the boy running circles around the Leviathan statue in the center square. Then talk to his sister. The kids will get called home for dinner. Go to their house and search the embers of the fire to find the Power Star.
2. Strength Star: Found on a tombstone in the center square.
3. Intelligence Star: Found on a shelf in the magic shop in the southern area.
4. Speed Star: Catch the hyper kid in the field south of Tsukiden's house.
5. Point Star: Drop 50 Goldpan down the well northwest of the center square.

Stars found in Dyros:
6. Power Star: In Loki's desk (near the entrance). You can't get this one until you battle him.
7. Strength Star: When you first escape the dungeon with Pandora and emerge outside, walk straight down and follow the castle around to the front.
8. Intelligence Star: In a barrel in the kitchen (northeast).
9. Speed Star: In a chest in a room to the left of the throne (northwest).
10. Point Star: In the dungeon near the jail cells, when you're taking Pandora's equipment out of the chests, one chest doesn't open all the way. Search it again.

Stars found in the Thieves' Hideout:
11. Power Star: When you enter, head left and search the south wall. There's a hidden path that leads you to the thief guarding the chest.
12. Strength Star: In a hidden path to the left of the entrance. Also guarded.
13. Intelligence Star: You can't get this one until Caligula steals your sketchbook, and you re-enter the hideout via the graveyard passage in Prem. The star is in a chest in the top-left area of the hideout.
14. Speed Star: Halfway up the middle corridor, search to the right and you'll find a secret path.
15. Point Star: From the entrance, go into the hideout and head left. Search the south wall until you find a secret path. You have to take this path all the way down, then right, then up to find the chest that's embedded in the east wall.

Stars found in Shide:
16. Power Star: Talk to the skeleton in front of the church. Then try to leave the area. The priest will emerge and you have to fight the skeleton. After beating the skeleton, talk to the angel to receive a Lazarus. Talk to her a second time to get the star.
17. Strength Star: Search the cross in the church.
18. Intelligence Star: You should see stars to the left of the lake. Feel around to find an invisible bridge. The stars mark corners, so walk around until you wind into the chest, which contains the star.
19. Speed Star: While on the star path described above, you can see some more stars to the south. Feel around until you discover a branch in the path that leads you to the bottom-left corner of Shide. Talk to Stacy, who will raise a bridge that allows you to enter the stairwell in the lake. Now go SAVE! Down the stairwell is a timed maze where failure means an instant Game Over! There's not much I can give in the way of pointers, but this is how you have to get through:
- Talk to the blob. It will spit out three keys. You have to collect them in order: Q, W, E. The Q key is to the upper-left. The W key is up-right. The E key is below.
- After grabbing the keys, return to the blob and he will move out of the way. Cross the bridge and search the chest to find out you need the R key. Return to the second blob and you can see he has the R key. Take it, and open the chest from the left. When the screen erupts, get the hell out of there!
- My best advice to surviving the run back is: DO NOT PANIC. If you strike a stationary wall of fire you're stunned, and that eats up precious time. Use the bridge in the middle as an opportunity to run and gain headway against the encroaching flame wall.

20. Point Star: Talk to the three slimes in order: Q, QW, QWE.

Stars found in Corax temple:
Two stars are found on the top two floors, and the other three on the bottom three floors. So if you miss any, it won't be too difficult to travel back inside and find them.
21. Power Star: On the bottom floor (with all the water everywhere) there is a white leviathan statue in the southwest block of rooms. You need to enter it from the left side. Search the statue to get the star.
22. Strength Star: In the center room of Floor 12 (second from the bottom) you find the boss Medusa. But search the pillar in the corner of the room to find the star.
23. Intelligence Star: In a room on the southeast quadrant of Floor 11 (third from the bottom) waits Julia of the Undead. Battle her for the star.
24. Speed Star: On your way through floor 2 (the one with Talgon as the boss), you'll encounter a pillar. Search it to get the star.
25. Point Star: In the southeast room on the top floor is an old guy walking around. Battle him for the star.

Stars found in Merh:
26. Power Star: To get this star you need to find the rebel hideout. If you can't figure that out by all the clues, then just search the walls in the Inn to find a hidden switch. The stairs in the café lead you down a very linear path to the hideout, where the star can be found inside a chest.
27. Strength Star: After you've cleaned up the mess in Hidari and sent Henry home, talk to his wife (in the northeast house). She'll reward your bravery with a star.
28. Intelligence Star: Immediately on entering the town you can see a glittering shape among some barrels. Search through the gate.
29. Speed Star: Walk behind the counter in the magic shop to find a squeaky board. Underneath is a passage into the wine cellar. Drink from the one barrel that's out in the open to find the star.
30. Point Star: Walk along the northern gate. You'll find a flower girl who will give you a necklace that was a gift from her ex. Guess what it is?

Stars found in Hidari:
31. Power Star: After defeating Loki, he will teleport out of the throne room, leaving behind a star. Return to the throne room to claim it.
32. Strength Star: After defeating Loki, go to the southwest dungeon and talk to the guy in the middle cell.
33. Intelligence Star: Talk to the spazzy kid near the water. Searching the bookshelves above him will reveal one as a fake. His birthday is a 6-digit code. Go to the northwest dungeon and use that code to open the chest. If the cell containing the chest is still closed, go to the southwest dungeon and open all those cells first. The switches simultaneously control the cells in both rooms.
34. Speed Star: After you've dug up the flowers in the graveyard (see below), slide the plate out of the way to reveal the speed star.
35. Point Star: To the east of the town's entrance is a tiny graveyard. Dig up the flowers on the center grave to find the star.

Stars found in Sylvia:
36. Power Star: Search the cross in the church.
37. Strength Star: Search the rock wall next to the stairwell in the north part of town. One spot can be blown away. Go inside and send the kid home. Next go talk to his mom (in the middle house) and she'll reward you for her retarded son's behavior.
38. Intelligence Star: The middle bookshelf in the empty schoolhouse has a star.
39. Speed Star: Search the trees to the southwest to find a hidden passage to the chest.
40. Point Star: After beating Loki here, push the lily pad into the water.

Stars found in Terita:
To obtain these stars, you must free all the residents from the cave. Go to Terita and obtain the Dynamite. Then go blast open the barricaded cave you passed on the way to Terita from your airship.
41. Power Star: Search the candelabra in armorer's house.
42. Strength Star: Talk to the guy who gave you the dynamite. He'll find a star that's been stuck in your hair. Who knows how long that's been there?
43. Intelligence Star: Search the bookshelves in the southwest house.
44. Speed Star: To get this star you have to send home the correct Prem soldier. Better play it safe and send them all back. Later, go to the King of Prem's throne room and one of the guards will thank you for sending him back (by giving you a star).
45. Point Star: To get this star, you likewise have to send back the correct Dyros soldier. When you return to Dyros go to the guard room in the west and one of the guys will give you the star.

All remaining stars :
46. Power Star: Land in the Teritan desert, and you'll see above you the south entrance to Dokutsu cave. Enter to get the star.
47. Strength Star: On the top floor of the Tindril Mines (north of Merh, southwest of Hidari; you need an airship), search the row of mining carts. The filled cart has the star.
48. Intelligence Star: Return to the cave where the citizens and royal family of Terita were imprisoned. Left behind is a chest containing the star.
49. Speed Star: Search the cabinets in Geoff's house, which is found in a lone, isolated tree west of Sylvia. You need the airship.
50. Point Star: Sail your ship up and explore the east coast of the Sylvia continent. You'll find a house there with a grizzled old sea captain. He has a chest containing the star.
