for some reason I like how that sprite stands out very cutely
Hehe, the funny thing is that I made a game like this years ago, but I used sprites because I couldn't (and still can't) model people very well.
Yeah It's like reminiscence of ps1 era that makes me C: I wonder how 2k3 sprites would look if you make them like that too...
I use to do that all the time, I would take the RTP people and put them in games that looked like this.
Hm now that I think about it, that means you can make paper-mario ish games right :o
I don't like comparing these to Paper Mario because Paper Mario's graphic style is one big joke about everyone being paper thin. In my game, everyone is normal- I mention that I compare it more to the likes of the first Grandia game than anything else.
hm that's true, at least they don't look ridiculously flat like paper dolls, oh well good luck :3
Will this work on old laptop pcs? <_<;
If you're curious, download the tester from my project log and see if it boots up on it. This would run on my Intel Integrated Graphics Adapter from an old Dell Dimension manufactured in 2003. The shadows are precompiled so that they run as fast as just being textures.
you could do xenogears style, maybe? or even FFT!

sprites on 3D models works!

and I like the look of this screen. very purdy glowing things.
Wrong weaponbirth, this is the game chill abortion
