The Novelist

You are a writer whos last chance to make a mark in this world is in your novel. Your life's work. Your masterpiece. Your time has come however, and in order to finish your book, you make a deal with death. Death gives you three months to finish your novel, claiming that writing it will decimate many lives. You stop by your only friend Robert for advice. He tells you what you expect to here from most friends, "dont give in, finish your book." You are the victim of multiple chilling nightmares and sleeping risks madness, You cannot think at day and begin to panic. All the while, Death uses your progress in your book against the world. Everything you write, mysteriously happens. Slowly at first, giving impressions of dejavu upon you, but then when your book takes a turn to tragedy, 100,000 lives are lost in one sentence. Only you can rewrite your mistake, only you can erase history. Soon death begans to use you to do his killings, first possessing you to kill people off in your book, then turning the world against you.



This is the storyline for the first half of my game. I'm releasing a RSD version of the game to get some quick feedback and lead me in the right direction. The RSD version of the game will only just get past the introduction and have very limited gameplay, but it will be a chance to see the basic style and atmosphere of the project.
