The story of Dragon Fantasy: Origins takes place within the world of Tsufanubra, and it is a relatively simple tale. Vlad, a mage from the prospering city of Lispen has defected, and now wields his magics with a dark purpose. In his quest for an unfathomable dark power, he has cursed the world and its inhabitants, transforming them in to monsters and various other forms of demonic entities.

You take the position of the Hero, and with your band of adventurers must set off across the vast world and put an end to the dark mage's evil schemes.

Game Rating:
E (Everyone).

Team:
Just me so far.

Credit:
-Ephiam/Lavata (Me) for 70% of the graphics. The monster sprites are the only non-custom part, and they come from one of the early wizardry installments (or a remake of the first?).

-Music, sound, etc. all come from various other games such as Zelda, Wizardry, Breath of Fire, Shin Megami Tensei, and Seventh Saga.

Characters:
The player is free to construct their own party from the ground-up as soon as they've started the game, so there are really no pre-defined characters to speak of. Instead, here is a list of classes you're able to choose from for each of your player characters upon starting a new game.

Demo Now Available

Well then, as you can see the demo has been accepted and awaits your download! Ha ha. It has a fairly lengthy playtime, spanning roughly 4-5 hours (give or take), and that's not even the half-way point of the game! But if you were to play, the overall party level before finishing would be roughly... Lv.16-18. Just saying.

But if you give the game a try, please get back to me with your thoughts! Nothing better than coming on here and seeing a comment on one of your game pages. He he.

So... enjoy!

What these games need is a quick save system where you save in any moment but when you load you lost that save too. And the normal save in other place. With that you can play in some day or other but maintaining the challenge. ff3ds had it, and others too, like unlimited saga ps2, that was challenging game.

In emulators you can use savestates for what you want, to save to cheat or not.

The right thing of quick save is that ti forces player to not make cheats.

Anyway in rpgmaker 2k you can make save always enable but putting some note on the save points that you have to save only in these and that each other save is for other purposes like if you have no time or whatever. The idea is to educate the player in the way you want he to play and how rules work. In theroy, this way had to be the best in esence because gives freedom to people too to do whateverthey want and people that want cheat iwll cheat or give up or whatever.
Quick saves aren't included in any of the RPG Makers by default. They're easier to implement in later editors (like RMXP, VX, and Ace) because of the scripting feature included there, since anybody with decent programming knowledge can create such a script and pass it off for others to use, but not so much in RM2K and 2K3. RM2K/3 didn't include scripting features, so any changes to the program essentially requires plug-ins or expert eventing. Plug-ins are very limited unlike the newer makers, and not everybody has the programming knowledge to event such a feature.

In any case, it appears this has been cancelled. Sad, but expected, since Ephiam has directed his attention into restarting the franchise. Still, it was a fun Atari-styled rpg and I recommend people in tune with the older styles of games give this one a shot.
