I need your help! Stylistic Choices!

The easiest way to put this is that I want to redraw a couple of the facesets due to suckiness- Levi and Lulu, basically.
The sad thing is that the pressure sensitivity in the regular Pen mode of SAI went bust a couple of months ago and I can't redraw them the same way as the others, which would lead to a stylistic clash.
So guys, I need your opinions. Should I just leave it? Attempt to redraw in the same style as everyone else? Or go totally nuts and redraw the entire cast again? This'll be Kumo's 5th and Levi's I-don't-know-anymore redraw. (Levi hates me)
Also, do you guys like the anime-esque style? Or should I go for a more later FF look (VIII,X)?
Style choices are:
Soft-shaded, heavily detailed.
Final Fantasy VIII
This guy's head (used as Zane's faceset in the demo)
Style used for the other images
Onion head! (not an option)
EDIT: Also, progress for the road.
Number 1 Rule: Never, under any circumstances, let any of the CC cast near a avalanche-prone mountain.

No matter which one I pick, it's going to mean more work, generally. Unless I just redraw Levi and Lulu in that style.
Original is if I cbf drawing the other characters. Though, thankfully, everyone in CC's cast has a high-def render that I can use as a reference when drawing the more FF8-styled version.
