Production Resumed, Battle System Change

After taking a break, I decided to pick this project up again. I'm not sure how often I'll be able to work on it though.

After messing around and doing some tests, I decided to switch the battle system from ATB to CTB. Atoa's ATB is still pretty buggy, and it makes the "Force Action" event command hard to use. Switching to the CTB battle system will give me more options for enemy tactics and help spice up boss battles a little. I will release a new demo with the CTB battle system, but I am still somewhat busy at the moment so I can't say when I will release it.

Okay, who's alt are you?
Hey man, you started a new game..? looks good keep it up..! :-)
Ignore that mila26.
This looks good, I'm downloading now.
It looks like an interesting concept, I'll give it a download.
WHAT

This demo is like 2 minutes long, involves spamming attack until you get Blizzard(at which point you Spam Blizzard, which is Attack but more effective). The game starts off with NO narrative, just a battle, which is plain, just like all the battles. Yet within the few poorly written boxes of text, about a third of them are glitched(you put / instead of \). The puzzle actually isn't too bad but the rest is really disappointing. mila26 is a jerk, but s/he really did hit the nail on the head. Normally I'd write a review, but I don't feel I can review an incomplete 2-minute-long game like this.
(This is not trolling)
i am a jerk i admit but this game needs more polishing >.> *under breath* (a lot more)
normally i don't just slash at any awful game this game dose have potential of being a good game
but it'll most likely be put on hiatus or canceled from the lack of work i see in it.

1:the dialogue needed to be extend
2:the maps are in bad taste there bland and boring
3:i recommend you even out the database *hint*monsters and character's build graphs/skills
4:the game play for me was short and boring
i know that people improve their games over time but the base of the game you have is an awful starter.
The demo is bugged. I set the wrong starting position. It's supposed to be about 10 - 15 minutes long. I'm going to go upload a fixed version in a bit.
truthfully it makes little difference now,
i doubt most people who played through the 1st version will play the fixed demo.
I just submitted the new demo, hopefully it won't take long to be accepted.
Better late than never I guess. Played through most of this demo, and while it seems intriguing, the battle system feels bogged down and buggy. First, unless I'm missing something, I cannot use skills outside of battle, so curing and healing comes from restorative items. Second, by the time you get into the cave beneath the castle, your equipment and weapons start showing their age, but very little options to upgrade. Finally, after my characters got to level 11, no matter how many times I tried, I kept getting a weird error after fighting so many battles that kept killing the game.

I'm not sure where this stands in terms of progression, but the battle system really needs to be tweaked to be more playable.

Aside from that, the story sounds interesting and the mapping, while not great, is far from being horrific.

The project is dead, but thanks for the feedback anyway. This game used and old version of the ACBS, which in itself wasn't very stable. It also had huge compatibility issues with just about any other script, making this game a huge mess. When I moved on to Dungeon Champion, I made sure it used a stable battle system to work with.
Ah, somehow I missed the "Cancelled" status. Oh well, I'm sure it was still a learning experience all the same.
