Hello world! Lance here, and I just wanted to give you guys a long overdue update on the game!
For a while, I was trying to implement Kentona's caterpillar system to a partially finish game. This was a horrid, horrid mistake. I actually thought I had finally finished putting all the proper coding the in events on all 170-something maps that are currently in the game, only to realize I messed up around 4 lines of code per character slot. Each event has 9 pages, one for each character, one for cutscenes to make the events invisible. Soooo.... I was pissed. And upset. And was, officially, demotivated. So, I took a break. It didn't help that I got some neat games to play over Christmas, and that Apex 2012 put me in a Super Smash Bros. mood for weeks on end.
However, I now have renewed interest in working on the game. I'm going to try and stay better on track this time. However, I'm also going to be working on Chrono Shift with MrBekkler. I'll be helping out with coding and quality control. As some of you may know, Shift and Prelude actually exist in the same canon (Or Fanon, as I like to call it). The same goes for Alter. So, we're going to try and get both games out this year, but focus on one game at a time.
Overture Studios (That's us!) has a really, really great staff. We want nothing more than to bring everyone a fun experience in the form of a fan made game. This game is a game for the fans, BY the fans. So, if anyone has some neat ideas they want to bring to the table, or any concerns with the direction the games are heading, please shoot me a message! If you have some services to offer, we're always looking for new team mates to help make these visions a reality!
Thanks, as always, for all the amazing support. You guys are awesome!
