This is Slashandz and Fernhart's submission for Game Gale 2010.
The theme is escape.

Story:
This story begins how most stories end: a showdown of good and evil.
A young warrior and novice mage challenge Xavier, the dark Overlord, to a fight to the death.
Unfortunately, good doesn't always win.
Left at the Overlord's mercy, the two await their oncoming demise.
But Xavier has something else in mind, and, without explanation, seals the two away in another dimension.

Our heroes now lie trapped in an unfamiliar land.
Explore this strange new world, uncover the many secrets hiding in the shadows of the past, and find a way to escape back to your own dimension!

The challenge of Game Gale 2010 was to make a game in two weeks! We got started a week late... so we had seven days to make a RPG. And... we greatly underestimated how long it would take.

So several things didn't make the Game Gale Version:
- The northern part of the world map
- An optional forest dungeon
- A side quest involving Feather
- A side quest involving Callech
- A hidden blacksmith that would forge rare weapons
- An optional cutscene showing the fate of Hendall Village
- The boss fight against Ice Queen
...and the last two dungeons. >_<

So as it stands, Fallen Heroes is currently incomplete. It's hardly unplayable, there's a good deal of enjoyable content to play through. It just doesn't have an ending. =\
Still, if the Game Gale reviews are at least decent, we'll gladly release a complete version of the game. Fair enough, right? Till then.

I thought Game Gale entries had to use original graphics/music etc. I could be wrong.

EDIT: Oh, nevermind. RTP seems to be fine according to the rules.

Slashandz, you may want to credit Fernhart as a developer of the game if they did that much work on the maps.

RTP is definitely well within the rules.

Also, this is definitely the best default VX game I've ever played.

Can you add a download that dosnt include the rtp so i dont have to download asmuch.

Sure thing. It's currently Pending, hopefully it will be approved soon.

On a somewhat related note, I noticed that for whatever reason, the current download had another game in the data folder... It's been removed, which has effectively reduced the file size by half. :P

For some reason my computer often shuts down when installing an rmvx game with the rtp...?
