I would like to introduce my game translated MOSTLY by Pantera from our polish rpgmaker scene. It's inspired by Pacman, The Matrix Movie, Dragon Quest, Chiptune music, and fueled with my ideas.

The game has a funny storyline, a retro atmopshere, but my priority while making it was the gameplay.

The game is based on three segments: normal attack, time attack, and monster attack. Levels feature extra lives to be found and Sword power-ups, similar to Pacmans Power Pellet (the big one, allowing you to eat ghosts).

When you finish a level, points are awarded for the items collected, monsters killed, combos (collecting several items in a row). You lose points for the number of steps you made. You are also awarded gold which you can spend in the shop.

Finishing the time and monster attack segments is not required to finish the game. You are however rewarded for finishing them with a special skill!

The shop allows you to buy skills and devices that will aid you during the game. These are:
Super Dash (avoid enemies while running),
Hyper Jump (cruch enemies Mario style),
Controller (deactivate all traps for a moment),
Teleporter (teleports into a safe place),
Freezer (freezes all enemies), and
Extra Life (an extra chance to beat a level).

A hidden feature, not mentioned in the game is the Matrix Mode - activated by pressing "0", it slows down the world, but not the player (simillar to Bullet Time). It lowers the amount of points you get, but can make you life a bit easier.

This looks nifty.

Though, I must say: The colour scheme, as well as the art, is straight outta DE's cancelled Akropolis.

EDIT: Not that that's a bad thing - I lurvs me some pixels.

Also, I'm really loving the chiptunes. Kentona, he's even got some chiptuned version of an E.V.O. song in there.

yEAH thats true. There is matrix mode. It can be turned on by button. Everything slow down except hero. Matrix style Really.

How do you do the mission with the two objectives. It says collect all items and kill ? number of skeletons. Tried a few numbers up to four but still didn't complete it.

This game sucks. Not his idea, not his music, not his graphic. Nothing is his. And game is boring and pointless... I dont know why it have 4/5

I'm curious, how did you customize the title screen layout? I don't mean just changing the background art, I mean the whole thing. I've been wanting to customize my own title screen for my game but I'm not sure whether it's something that can be done in-engine without recurring to external plugins or "hax". :')

Anyways, OT. I'm liking the concept. I might give the game a try when I'll have some time.
This is not title screen. It's a map. Just use imagination and indgredients of rpgmaker standard verions - events.

Creating game is not about making everything on own as main purpose. This is not reason why people playing games ! It's about creating something new with set of tools and resources availible for the game. Reason for making game is for me to provide fun and joy and challenge and maybe nostalgia a little bit. If you not like and not get it just find something else.
