~ PLOT ~

A normal day in the serene village of Everdale. School's just been let out. The village is preparing for a birthday party. Mr. Ronedale has lost his chickens. Mrs. Apricot is baking a pie. And little Danais is consigned by his sister Farrah to buy a b'day present. Enter Skarsgaard, a local thief consigned by his boss to raid this serene village.

And then everything gets thrown into disarray. Danais is missing. Farrah has to go out in search of him and they end up in a town very far away from home! How are they going to get back? To make things more complicated, in comes a band of pirates, headed by Captain Grizzlybeard who is in a mid-life crisis, arrives in the port town. And the Mayor is suffering a migraine from demands from the townspeople: a clown needs cheering up, a young boy needs help wooing a girl, a shaman needs his monkeys returned, a thief needs to be caught, a merchant needs to be protected, and so much more!

How are Danais and Farrah going to find their way home in the midst of all this insanity?!

-----------------

~ WHAT TO EXPECT ~

- A mildly tweaked battle system that includes a "Charge" and "Double Charge" system (see Features tab).
- Avoidable wandering encounters instead of random encounters.
- Some custom-made music tracks.
- Loads of minigame-oriented gameplay, including fishing, knife-throwing, balloon-popping.
- "Quest log"-styled gameplay in the second half. Just think about Bomber's Notebook from Majora's Mask (see Features tab.)
- One vibrant town in the second half instead of many towns, with many colourful characters you will need to interact with.
- A day/night system to accompany this town (see Features tab).
- Map system and Teleport system (see Features tab).
- A complete game with over 7 hours of gameplay.

I am playing this game after someone has asked for a better guide.
But only in the 3rd dungeon and the bugs keep stocking up.

Game breaker: Never return to the Pink Bunny Plush with Ferrah at Sherrysake Woods a second time or you get stuck on that map!

Also the Charge mechanic will not work anymore after Bairen joins Ferrah in the Eerielight Cave. Even if you manage to charge twice she will attack only normal and not the all enemies.

I will keep my eyes peeled for more bugs.

In my case, the game as worked normal so far

Edit 1: Fishing is bugged - at least you only have to catch on Blue Trout at the Fisher's Creek.
Only Ferrah's AoE charge is broken, Danais' is still working.
Waking up in Willows Ferrah can talk to an invisible Anaya Dunham "Please get him back!"
there a quiz minigame in the clown's tent when playing as Farrah, how to solve that?

I know this is late. But have you tried sleeping in the inn? I think I coded the inn to reset the clock.
Yeah, slept at the inn, but it seemed to be stuck in a particular time of day.

The trigger for this is delivering the mail to the guy in the bird house. That, and I'm on win 10 OS, so i'm not sure how that's going to affect things. Tried this in compatibility modes as well, but still no luck.

Alright, the thing triggering the bug is going to the bird watcher's house. And I still don't know why that is, so I can't really complete the game.
Update: solved the last problem. New problem has arisen. After returning from the mountain, i enter the city and the clock disappears and i don't think the day and night cycles are functioning anymore.

Is this a bug?
Slight problem. I'm stuck as the sister in Montrose and I can't figure out how to proceed to the next section. The brother already left the note and got kidnapped by pirates, so I'm not sure what the sister can do at this stage. I've talked to the NPC, but none of them give me any indications as to where to go or what to do.
The game is good but the minigames are too difficult, even more because there's a bug in one of them. In the monkey chasing mini game and the mushroom jumping one the hearts don't heal you at all, maybe it's not only there but the hearts may not replenish heat at all. Could you fix it?, thanks.

...the chicken quest is epic, not because of the quest overall but for that partiular one that pops out of a chest rofl, you made up the idea or got it from another game?

That was my idea but I'm sure other games did it.

anyway for the start I would give the game 4.5 stars, but sadly it rapidly changes, when you get in control of the protagonists sisters you see that she exactly the same abilities wth...an issue here is the staff she has equiped, while a normal wooden staff gives a major stat boost for everything, the staff you have that was made specially by their father has only attack and very low, is this some kind of error? I would imagine that mementos were special items not the other way around...

How weak is it? She is supposed to be slightly stronger than her brother. Her strength later in the game, however, depends on her casting offensive spells. She is the black mage while Danais is the white mage, basically. And there is a third character later on who has different techniques. They can both do the charge and double charge attack but hers is supposed to be stronger, so idk what happened there.

Then you get the river quest, at this stage I started having problems in the scenario exits, I assume I wasn't the only one, and while in a normal situation this wouldn't be much of an issue it really is when you're trying to escape the bandits stones, which are overkill if they hit you at the end because the cursor is so fast...

Yeah, a lot of people had trouble with this =( Thankfully this is the only part of the game that has a mini-game like that.

After this you play the sister again, and only at this point I noticed that while in the water I could move 8ways but in land I can only move 4ways...why not change movement on land aswel? assuming I will probably spend 95% of the game on land it would make much more sense...

This was my original plan. However, I encountered problems with touch encounters in which the character would totally bypass them if they moved diagonally onto it. So in order to reduce complications, I just removed the 8-directional control except for the swimming part, where it comes in most handy anyway, imo.

After this I go into a cave and there's a swordsman waiting and says he would appreciate help in going through the cave .... the swordsman doesn't have a unique ability like the other characters ... most sad is that the guy is a total wuss ... at this part the charge ability stoped working for some reason ...

The swordsman is actually a very minor character, so yeah, I didn't give him any special commands or anything. Once he leaves you after the cave, you never see him again. He only served as a means of having an extra party member to help you through the cave. Other than that, he has very little relevance to the plot. Where did the charge stop working?

Well, all I can tell you is to keep playing and see if it catches back up with you. It does get better and pick up, imo, once you get to the port town, which is where you should be now. Hopefully, you won't be experiencing any more of these setbacks. Thanks for playing and thanks for the comment.
I wasn't expecting much from this game for having 3 stars, but at the start i really surprised me, the stryline seemed pretty good and it's one of the few game where the protagonist is a mage and not an overpowered swordsman...the chicken quest is epic, not because of the quest overall but for that partiular one that pops out of a chest rofl, you made up the idea or got it from another game?

After this I go into a cave and there's a swordsman waiting and says he would appreciate help in going through the cave, this realy messes the storyline (it would make sense if it was some kind of villager to whom you had to ask for help, like her boyfriend or something)....after that you go into fights and notice something, the swordsman doesn't have a unique ability like the other characters, his fight button has the symbol of a staff aswel, and he also has a mage spellbook, most sad is that the guy is a total wuss, I had to change his row so he didn't die every battle, this makes the game really special (in a bad way) for it's the first time I have a melle class in the back row and spellcaster in the front row, also the mage does the same amount of melee damage which doesn't seem even close to being fair (maybe you like mages over melee like me actually but that's not a reason to make them so underpowered and lame)...at this part the charge ability stoped working for some reason, meaning there are still plenty bugs in the game...I almost quit the game at this point, but I hope it might change back to being good...

I think this game has a lot of potencial, and it seems you put a lot of effort into making it, but there are some things that should be improved, if you changed the characters ability system to make it unique for every character, improved a bit the story line, and fixed the bugs this game would definitly be worth 4 or 4.5 stars...

Thanks a lot to whoever did that, whichever site you may be from...

"# Shout Out: There are numerous references to Banjo-Kazooie, including the music used for some areas. The swamp is named Bubblegloop Bayou, presumably after BK's Bubblegloop Swamp, and contains Flibbit Coins (Flibbits were enemies in BK's Bubblegloop Swamp). There is also a shaman named Jinjo.

* The scene with the mayor getting swarmed with requests from the townspeople, as well as the layout of his office, is copied almost verbatim from Majora's Mask. "

lol
Wow. this must have taken a lot of time and work. downloading now
Yeah, someone reported a similar bug :< I have no idea why that happens. I don't think there are any more like that, though. Glad you had a good time with whatever time you spent on it though.
