My second RPG made with the rpgmaker program. My first RPG was Battle of the Continent and wasn't that good, so it was ultimately scrapped and this was the final result. I was still relatively new to the game designing business, so not all design choices in this game were ideal. But it is a full fledged RPG that takes 8-10 hours to complete and is chock-full of stuff. Just don't go expecting any jawsome stuff in it.
The story follows Robert who is a member of the Tora which is an elite bounty group who does jobs for hire and his newest job lands him in one of the biggest events in the world. Robert and his band of misfits get involved with an ages old conflict between several warring kingdoms and are caught in the middle of a world-destroying evil. RPG cliches abound, but is fun none-the-less.

The Land of Final Fantasy :O Sorry lol

I actually have been trying to update and correct this thing, because I had some thought that it was kind of good. It feels very Final Fantasy 8 to me. I also took some labor to update the 'XYZ' into BIN graphics before the game fully boots up to make it without the Enterbrain or ASCII logos.

I have been playing this game though I got stuck at the point in the game where there's a bunch of soldiers trying to get to a tree and you have different parties in order to stop them. That is also very FF6 in nature. This is like an FF6+FF8 kind of a game, really.

I also had added some animations I did myself and added a "DOWN" state which merely makes the inflicted target "knocked down" for a full turn, then abates immediately afterwards kinda like in DQ when a character is knocked down. I'd have to share the file so you can see what I was doing to it.
This game was very well thought out. There were a few places where I was uncertain of where I should go next to continue the storyline, but overall I really enjoyed this. Having a locked "Secrets" file was a very cool idea. I was hooked on this game for weeks!

There is serious bug early in game if exit and enter first town 20 or more times, characters speed becomes drasticly decreased so game becomes unplayable.
Just watched it twice, once without logging in and once with logging in. It plays fine all the way through. Might be a temporary Youtube bug.
Hey DarkFlamewolf, video 18 of your walkthrough on Youtube crashes after a few minutes. You might want to fix it.
Yeah, I no longer have rm2000 to go back and fix the speed issue. So my best advice is to reload an earlier save where that bug didn't strike and if it strikes again reload a current save. :-/ I'd fix it if I could but I've since lost the program.
Great game. Bummed out by the speed which turned out to be random, and quite slow in the latest parts of the game. I am hoping speed will pick up again soon.... Cannot figure out how to create an event to fix it by myself. I downloaded RPG2000, but cannot edit anything on the game:(...
oh my, I found this game again!
It feels so nostalgic, since it's my first RPG. Years ago (really really years ago...maybe about 6 or 7?), I played it with my cousin, and I like it so much.

Though there was a bug back then (I first played this on windows 98, but my cousin installed it in xp and he can't move the character at all...it moved by its own and hit the wall, then completely unmoveable), but somehow, now it works completely...

and something really shocking. I believe I never enter Zjjamar in my first play 6 years ago, but I managed to go forward somehow (I somehow managed to ditch Baird by picking him first then Laurienne, so he will go to Talem), so when suddenly I managed to enter Zjjamar properly (in my current play recently, after of course start over from fresh beginning), it's kinda confusing. Maybe it happened to be a bug back then?

and then...I still love this game, especially after I have better knowledge of english than before, and able to understand the story better haha.

the thing that really annoys me is Red Gems. The Astronaut-guy gives pretty good clues, but since I can't remember which gem that I already picked, it becomes really really hard to complete all 30 gems (he always mention ALL locations of the gems instead of telling the locations of the gems we haven't pick...)

well, afterall, it's still a good (and nostalgic) game after all these years...
Thanks for the response Ichimaru, it was my first RPG after all, so I wasn't fully into the whole 'tacticional' aspect of it. I improved on that greatly for Amulet of Fate however.
Oh, by the way, demon lord, do you like balrogs or something.
This game is really good! Although the plots and time lines are completely different, this really reminds me of Lun Calsari's 'The Way'. The maker of this game, you can tell that he really cares for his characters. The gameplay, however, is not as good as in some other games. In this game, all you need to do is to mash the spacebar to kill enemies. I would prefer something a bit more tacticional. But all in all, 4.5 out of 5! Sugoi!!!!!
well, don't give up, find the nearest save point after it happens, save. Go into the editor and open up the map you are on. make a 'touch hero' event with a Move Event command where all it does is increase your speed by one. (just don't step on it more than once though!) and resave. Voila. problem fixed. I know its a bad workaround, but I really don't have rpgmaker2000 anymore and thus can't go back to fix this. (not that I would know how to anyway, its been so long since I looked at the coding)
It's a decent game just like ya said. It has it's disadvantages, but overall it's pretty good. I'm having trouble with a nuisance of a bug. I believe it was said the move speed thing was random, and I don't know if I just have terrible luck, but I replayed the battle just before you get the airship three times, and every single time after I beat it, my move speed screwed up, and it's really starting to irritate me. I like those types of battles, but I'd rather fight three different ones, than three of the same one.

Overall, it's a good game, but I may end up taking a break until I can get past the move speed issue somehow. It ruins the experience.
well all I can do is direct him to the video walkthrough link in the latest blog post for this game. That should answer any questions he may have.

^ I thought it was a spambot, but I noticed he's speaking german, i think, Talem as one of the places in the game.

Or he's a very smart freelancer writer. :P

So far i'm really enjoing the game but i have a problem with the sand dunes to reach darium. I have Lauriene in the party cause she said she's needed for the sand dunes but when i reache them nothing happens. I go up,down, right left all is always the same not a single indication.

Help please cause i really want to continue the game

ah yes, it was a bug inherent to the game that I could not fix. My suggestion is to create an event anywhere near the map you're currently at. Make it 'on hero touch' (or action key), and have it increase hero move speed. That'll fix your problem. Just don't touch/activate it more than once though. Another option, although requires a bit more rm2000 skill is to create a switch based item that calls a common event that when used, increases movement speed by one. That way you can have it on hand at all times just in case the bug strikes. Other than that, can't help you, reload from a previous save when you weren't walking slow.
