Save your Progress Often: It pays to save your progress whenever you have the chance. There are various glowing circles throughout the land, use these to save your game before entering a hazardous situation.

Buy Tonics Galore: In the early stages of the game, try to amass a reasonable amount of money to set aside in buying tonics, as they will be beneficial in the first few areas of the game.

Don't Miss Out on Spells: There are numerous magic spheres on sale in every church in almost every town for reasonable prices. You should not neglect to purchase and keep on hand multiple copies of each spell sphere. There are certain enemies, even very early in the game, which are only vulnerable to magic spells. Do not come into a battle against these enemies without spells to back you up, or you may very well be fighting a losing battle. (ie. plants, ghosts, elementals)

Don't Forget to Upgrade: There are many shops selling a wide variety of items. It is usually best to buy the best armor possible for all party members, but don't be hasty in selling them back though. Some have certain elemental properties which could protect the character from certain attacks as well as other properties. And always remember to check back with old stores to find new items throughout the course of the game.

Don't Dismiss Anything: There are many sidequests in this RPG. Some take hours to complete, others mere minutes. But regardless, you must keep an eye out for clues that will lead you down some sidequest paths. The rewards of many are great.

Keep an Eye on Time: As you travel around the world map, day turns to night and then night turns to day. Depending on what time of day it is, different things happen in towns and areas. Check all over at different times to find everything! Some things may only happen at a certain time of day when it is raining hard or light!

Don't neglect status effects: Most enemies are weak to some status effect or another and it is up to you to figure out how to best exploit those weaknesses and make battles easier. Just because you are up against a boss doesn't mean that it is immune to all status effects! So try everything and see what sticks! Who knows? It could mean the difference between victory and defeat!

Stealing is Useful: Adrien will usually get a chance to steal from an enemy party when in the field. He usually has a 2/3 chance of getting something from the enemy party just after the battle. He has a 50% shot at snagging something from a boss prior to battle. It is best to have him around if you want to amass a bunch of items early on.

You start with 10,000 Lira: A very useful fact to know. You have gobs of money in the beginning with which to start your party. You must be careful in how you spend it. You have various things you can spend your money on; first and foremost must be a weapon for Amaldia, unless you like to fight barehanded. Next is to set aside some money for the mercenary salaries for those you choose to enlist for your party. Then decide which of the seven individual mercenaries you'd like to hire and start tailoring the rest of your spending to accommodate their needs, because not all of them come with proper equipment or skills!

Don't by Hasty in Selling: You might be eager to sell off every bit of loot you find off of enemies, but rest assured there is more uses to those dropped items than just gaining money! Kitiara needs quite a few items to create her skills, and the Fighter's and Thieves' guilds utilize those loot items to forge and craft items at a greatly reduced cost! So do your research on what items to keep on hand at all times before you go sell everything off!

Pay your Mercenaries: Each party member you recruit has a daily fee; depending on who you have in your party, you could be paying as little as 200 Lira or as much as 600 Lira every day! So always set aside a certain amount at the end of the day to pay your crew, otherwise they will leave you at inopportune times.

Visage Mirrors: These are unique items that aren’t found often until mid to late game. Be wary of enemies who enter battle with Reflect buff equipped or can cast it upon themselves or others. Even though Dispel or magic spheres that can cast Dispel do a great job removing other buffs, it is treated like another spell like any other and thrown back at you. The only way to remove Reflect is to buy and use Visage Mirrors. The amount of enemies who can utilize/cast Reflect are low, so the times you need to use this item may be few, but it never hurts to have a few on hand.
