Yet another beautiful exterior of another cave system, in this case: Terraco Caves. One of the most extensive caves in the game, with uber hard monsters!
The fabled library of Vorindae Fortress. Yes, there are over 25 different (short) books you can ACTUALLY read from start to finish in this game.
The mountainous entrance to Caradarn Cavern, a rather dangerous optional area. If Behemoths and Tonberries scare you, stay away.
The addition of Mac and Blue gives the ruin interior a new flair.
The entire ruins of the once mighty Shrang'La Dynasty. (there is lack of a over/under structure atm)
The narrow canyon pass of Jalikai was a perfect defense choke-point for defenders of the Magi Tower.
Fell monsters now walk the caverns of this once lucrative mining facility.
The first room of the Magi Tower, one of the final areas of the game. Its also my first crack at making a map with this chipset!
Loramel Forest, one of the few places where a mental map would be useful. You could easily get lost!
The snow city of Erromon, set into the cliffs of the Manchu Mountains.
My first snow map, the entrance to Manchu Caves.
Cow Races! COW RACES! For all that is holy, COW RACES I TELL YOU!
The swampland portion of the continent. It was surprisingly easy to create. Lots of wildlife here.
Oderra, a poor village where if you don't put in the money to build it up, it WILL vanish forever. (ignore the fact there are no doors yet on buildings!)
The entry area you come across for the digsite in Vanguard Sands. Its like the digging game from FFX-2, but not as stupid.
This is the main entry room of Bismark Cavern. Lots of twisting caverns lie beyond those entryways...
Bhalstok City is divided into 5 sections, of which this main cathedral and graveyard is one of them.
Vorindae Fortress, one of the optional areas of the game with ultra-powerful enemies!
A screenshot example of my Fishing mini-game. You must press all buttons within a time limit to catch the fish!
Not one of the open-ended deserts you'll come across, but Bastion Sands does have a few 'hills.'
A glimpse into the much larger desert town of Galea. That big mass of events on the right is a bridge you can walk over and under.
There are many caves to explore and each one has a unique entrance look.
A nice strolling through the rain in Yalinor Forest.
A screen from Garovo Cave system, the bigger monsters represent stronger monster parties.
Garovo Pass was once used as a defensive position against invading attackers.
The first Garovo cave area. Sets up what will be multiple passages in this extensive mine.
This is the first area of the Garovo Pass, it will comprise roughly 4-5 individual sections total of this size or bigger + cave system.
The main Alur'Rang castle library. Who knows what information you'll find here?
The main trophy list you can refer to when you complete accomplishments.
The main draw of using rm2k3 for this project was sideview battles.
One of the major parts of Alur'Rang, the grand capital city.
A side bazaar within the major capital city of Alur'Rang
The full overworld map of the continent you'll be exploring.
Your Summoner: Amaldia along with three other mercenaries for hire.
The mini-map you are given early on with red dots for your ultimate macro objectives.
The custom title screen of my latest and probably last RPG!
