My first finished game. A crime scene investigation game.
The FBI gets a call at 1:05am, August 10th, 2010. ''H-hello? Is this the FBI?'' ''Yes, ma'am, what's wrong?'', The cop who answered the phone asks. ''I just found m-my husband... dead!'' ''Calm down, ma'am, please tell me exactly who you are, who's dead and where you live, and we'll send someone to investigate it.'' ''O-Okay... I'm Salina Ral, I found my husband Jacob Ral's body in the living room... We live at Ral Castle, near Washington.'' ''Are you reporting a murder, or does it look like your husband died of natural cause?'' ''H-he's been murdered... Y-You s-see... He is decapitated...'' ''We'll send someone over there as soon as possible, that will be around... 7am, all right?'' ''A-All right...''

Jake Willows, a detective in-training, who's failed his final exam three times already, gets assigned to the task of finding the culprit, with the warning he can't fail again or he'll be fired. Every detective should have someone to rely on, right? That's where you come in. Find the culprit... Don't let him get away...

Characters in the game will not be told about due to not wanting to spoil anything :-)

Forgot to mention this in-game.
Credits to Mac Malone for credits script.
Credits to MS Paint, because I used it a couple a times.
Credits to rmxp for tree sprites.

Nothing reveals Humanity so well as the games it plays. A game of betrayal, where the most suspicious person is brutally murdered? How savage.

Thanks! ^^ Saturn is supposed to become less of an Apollo clone in cases 2, 3 and 4. Case 2 actually isn't done yet. So far it's just the one investigation phase, though the first trial scene is in development. I'm currently working on another project, but afterwards, I'll definitely start working on Saturn Fib again!
Thanks for the reply Jeroen,(^^) yeah I really like mystery based games and casually searching I found your Saturn Fib series and so far I think the story in the cases and how Saturn is introduced in the Ace attorney canon hold up really good (puzzle follow the original games formula without be absurd in his motives and even if Saturn is a copy of Apollo, it come out likeable and grew up on me. Hope to see what you come up with in case 3 and 4 (sorry, no rush I know this things take time - v -'')

Is a shame this game file got lost/deleted, I feel sometimes it take time to appreciate little games like this even if you think technically wasn't great if the story hold up to the level of your Saturn series I'm sure the effort showed up and wasn't too bad ;-)

Anyway thanks for your time
Will keep an eye around for your next works and if in the future some copy of "The Case of the Man Who was Decapitated" will be posted on the list of requests for lost games I will send you the file, stay well. (^ ^)/

Hi Craig! I'm glad you liked Saturn Fib so far, and that you're interested in my past works! ^^

Unfortunately, I don't have the files for this game anymore, but believe me, it was my first game, and very bad, so you're not missing out on much. (^.^')

Thanks for telling me the download link is broken! I'll get rid of it.
'We'll send someone over there as soon as possible, that will be around... 7am, all right?''

Well which is it? ASAP or by appointment? xD
(- -') Hi Sorry to bother you Jeroen, I've recently played Case 1 and 2 of your Saturn Fib Series and loved what you've done with it (^,^) so I searched for your past works and this one got my attention, but unfortunately I found out the link in the description is broken, do you still have the possibility to upload it again ?

Ahahaha darn it! What a coincidence! My nagademo's about a detective (AND YES IT HAS PW SOUNDTRACKS 8D) so I was kinda hoping to play yours to get more experience. :)
I hope you'll get lots of experience to make a game that is much better than mine. :) A detective that has been executed really well is 'The Mystery of the Man Who Became a Pig'. Be sure to check that one out too, as it's about 10 times as good as mine! XD

The download is pending, so it should be up by tomorrow, I think. I've just replayed the game, and, though being noobish, lacking in all sorts of things, and containing many phoenix wright tracks I didn't even use in-game at all, it is my first game ever after all, it was rather fun to replay it. :) I hope you'll enjoy it!

You can upload it here. :P

Yeah, I guess that's true. When I first uploaded the game, I got many broken pages, though, maybe because I'm not on an American server. I'll see if I can upload it to the site now, though.

Nice little game, I enjoyed playing it. I wish I can say the same about the gameplay, why four digits? You could settle for two. Every time I get it wrong I have to repeat the same numbers again and again.

At least, thank god I managed to download it before they shut down Megaupload.
I have one more question: Does this game have more than one ending (instead of fails of course)?

I haven't made multiple endings, this was my first project, but after I finish my current game, which might take a while, I might redo the whole thing, make it bigger, add multiple endings and maybe multiple cases, but I'll se about that at a later point in time.
I chose to use 4 numbers so people wouldn't just try all combinations but really think about what they want to present. 2 would've been enough for just the combinations, and 3 might've been better, but I wanted to minimize chance to the fullest.
Now you mention it, I think I'm going to have to find a new site and reupload the file since Megaupload is down. It's kind of odd though, if SOPA didn't pass, then how did it get shut down?

I've reuploaded the game. If you use a certain piece of evidence, which I'm not going to spoil unless you ask me to, you should be able to continue. Also now, you're not supposed to have this bug anymore, and will just lose health accordingly. If not, please tell me so.
Well, you just said what happened. It doesn't do anything. Whatever evidence I choose, even 000000, I get the same result. Should something different happen if I use the CORRECT evidence? Because I tried others.

I think I found the problem!
Where it should give you a 100% punishment when you answer wrong, it doesn't do anything!
Of course, this wouldn't explain the bug for 1 certain piece of evidence... Are you sure it's ALL evidence you've checked?

Hmmmmmm. The moving of the picture is possibly due to the fact he puts it at a certain spot on the screen, not the room. Have you tried talking to him from different angles? (up,left, down) It could be due to a mistake of mine while creating the game. If it doesn't matter at all which angle you try it from, I'm afraid I can't solve this problem... I'm sorry... I'll try all angles myself.
The download says it's temporarily unavailable.

What happens is: I talk to the guy, I present him the yearbook, then the medical papers, and when he asks for the evidence showing that he was there that day, whatever I type, nothing happens. The dialog stops, the music is cut, and that thing on top of the guy is still there, and it moves as I move... like this:

If I talk to him again, there's a brief pause, then the dialog starts all over... but it never finishes.
