Tales of Arcadia is back!

For reals this time. I mean it. I am finishing this damn game if it kills me, which it might. Having recently bought the latest RPG Maker, I have decided to revisit this five-year old project that I first started way back when VX was all the hype. Utilizing the new engine, I'll be making drastic changes to the core mechanics and features of Tales of Arcadia but will be keeping with what was, hopefully, its most promising point: the story. I'm absolutely in love with the story, the way it plays out in my head, the dynamic between the two leads, and everything else. Anyway, to wrap this up, I just wanted to let all of my subscribers know that this really is happening this time. I'll have more news in the coming weeks, along with some screenshots and an updated About page.

It's good to have you back, buddy! I know the feeling of having an urge to finish a project that's been in the works for several years. Just remember to be careful with yourself. My first game almost killed me (literally, I decided to finish the game for once and therefore decided to spend upwards 17 hours a day working on it. I'm not even sure if I've recovered fully from the stress it gave me.). All of this will of course vary from game to game though, due to having different goals/scopes in mind.

I also don't know if you've tried MV yourself yet, but I wholeheartedly recommend you to stick with Ace. Ace is currently a more powerful and supported engine. Sticking with Ace will also save you the trouble of porting the game. Is the conversion worth it in the end? Is it necessary? I only want you to think about this a little before you move on. It's things like this that usually break a developer and his/her game. Either way, you have my support.
It's an interesting point you make, and the more I experiment with the new engine, the more I realize that converting might not be best for ToA. Regardless, though, I am finishing this game. Thanks for the support!
