These are two of the player characters so far along with some sample abilities and traits. Each PC has 7 active abilities and 16 passive traits. You can equip any mix of 4 abilities (plus a 5th ultimate ability) and 8 traits anytime when out of combat. You may only have one Specialization active at a time.

________________________________________________________________________________________
Trent Gray, the charismatic leader.
Trent is able to specialize in three areas: physical damage fighter, healer/supporter with a powerful damage buff, and a tank.

Party Aura: Heroic Presence
While Trent is in the party, everyone generates 10% additional momentum (limit break-style meter.)

Combat Bonus: Overbearing Might
Increases all damage and healing Trent causes by 2% per enemy on the battlefield. (Can fight up to 4 enemies at a time for a 8% bonus.)

Mechanic: Morale
As Trent fights, he generates morale with some of his abilities. His other abilities consume all his current morale, directly determining the strength of this ability.

Morale is constantly generated during the fight, but not very quickly. Also each character has access to passive traits that increase their effectiveness. Many of Trent's traits provide him with various ways to generate additional morale.

Active Abilities:
Double Attack. Attacks with a sword and a chance to follow-up with a dagger, generating additional morale.
Encouragement. Heals an ally over 10 seconds.
Flintlock. Fires a powerful pistol shot. Must use again to reload. (Certain passive traits can do this for free, though.)
Mocking Blow. Does damage and reduces the damage of the enemy's next attack.
Battle Cry. Consumes all morale to make the party's next attack cause bonus damage. This damage scales with the percentage of morale consumed.
Crippling Blow. Cripples an enemy, causing damage and lowering their defenses for a while. The duration of this effect is determined by the percentage of morale consumed.
Warning Cry. Bolsters the party, reducing the damage of the next attack they take. The amount of damage blocked is increased by the percentage of morale consumed.

Desperation Abilities:
Unload Pistol. Consumes all momentum to fire several pistol shots at the enemy party, causing damage to random targets.
Turn the Tides. Consumes all momentum to instantly grant all allies Encouragement and instantly fill Trent's Morale gauge.
Unbreakable. Removes all debuffs from Trent and reduces all incoming damage he takes for 10 seconds.

Passive Traits (not complete):
Ammo Stash. Each time Trent uses an ability, his Flintlock has a chance to reload automatically.
Booming Voice. Using Warning Cry will extend the duration of any active Encouragements by 4 seconds.
Cheer Up. Each time an ally is attacked, Trent has a chance to heal them a little.
Momentous Leader. Increases the morale generated by his abilities.
Shrapnel Shards. Flintlock will now cause some damage to a secondary target.

Specializations:
Fearless Leader. Increases Trent's Attack score, gives each of Trent's abilities a chance to reload his Flintlock for free, increases the chance Double Attack will follow up with its dagger strike, and each time Trent crits, he gains some stamina.
Triumphant Warlord. Increases Trent's Focus score, reduces the morale-consumption of abilities (allowing him to use them more often), extends the duration of his Encouragement healing spell, and each time he crits an enemy or his Encouragement critically heals an ally, he gains morale.
Courageous Leader. Reduces all damage Trent takes and increases his threat generation, increases the damage caused by Mocking Blow and it now forces its target to focus on Trent, when Warning Cry reduces incoming damage Trent gains some stamina, and when Trent crits an enemy, he heals himself.

________________________________________________________________________________________
Asher Blackblade, the frenzied berserker.
Asher is a master fighter. His abilities allow him to specialize as a single-target focused fighter, an AoE fighter, or a fighter who relies on bleed effects.

Party Aura: Battlelord
While Asher is in the party, each member gains 5% additional Attack.

Combat Bonus: Master Combatant
Asher's crits cause 10% additional damage.

Mechanic: Blood-rage
As Asher uses his abilities, which consume health, he generates blood-rage which when filled to 100%, the gauge resets to zero, he heals himself for (15% of his maximum health + 25% of his missing health) and and his next attack will not consume health and it gains a 50% bonus chance to crit.

All of Asher's abilities consume some portion of health so it's important that he receives healing from allies or from his blood-rage mechanic.

Active Abilities
Balancing Strike. Attacks an enemy with a physical attack and heals Asher.
Bleeding Wound. Slices an enemy, causing them to bleed for 10 seconds.
Evisceration. Does not cost health: Attacks an enemy. If they are bleeding it causes bonus damage.
Feral Leap. Lunges at an enemy and then to a secondary target. (This is increased by one of his specializations.)
Gouge. Causes an enemy to bleed, suffering additional damage each time he attacks them.
Rampage. Maims an enemy, causing damage. Each time he Rampages, it consumes more health but causes additional damage. This effect fades if not used for 10 seconds.
War Cry. Passively allows Asher to generate anger as he fights. When Used: Consumes all rage and shouts, increasing the party's Attack and Focus for a duration tied to the amount of anger consumed.

Desperation Abilities:
Decapitate. Attempts to instantly kill a low-health enemy. If they don't instantly die, the suffer massive damage.
Rending Slash. Restores health to Asher and he leaves all enemies bleeding.
Feral Frenzy. Strikes all enemies at random.

Passive Traits (not complete):
Berserker. Increases the amount of blood-rage generated by Asher's attacks and he heals more when he reaches 100 blood-rage.
Bleeding Edge. Each time Bleeding Wound causes its damage, it has a chance to make Asher's next Evisceration consume no stamina.
Blood Feast. Each time one of Asher's allies attacks an enemy suffering from the Gouge effect, it has a chance to trigger its bonus damage.
Recklessness. Increases Asher's crit damage, but when he crits, he bleeds a small amount of health.

Specializations:
Wild Berserker. Increases Asher's crit damage, reduces the health cost of Rampage, increases the effectiveness of Balancing Strike, and each time Asher crits, he heals himself.
Feral Predator. Increases Asher's crit chance; reduces the health cost of Feral Leap and it will now leap to a third target; if he Feral Leaps a bleeding enemy, he has a chance to spread the bleed to additional targets; and each time he crits an enemy, that critical damage will also harm a nearby enemy.
Blood Warrior. Increases Asher's damage when attacking a bleeding enemy; each time Asher attack's a bleeding enemy, the bleed has a chance to instantly cause it's damage; Evisceration now has a chance to extend the duration of any active bleeds; and each time Asher crits an enemy, he extends the duration of any bleeds.
