high production values on an extremely small demo. Over half the demo is cutscenes. Gameplay is limited to a forest and one section of a cave (couldn't get far into the cave.) But the visuals are great to look at. There's just loads of these high-value demos that never get finished

According to the facebook page, he dropped the project (but may return to it) in favor of a new idea here.
I believe Hanzo mentioned on this game's FB page that he no longer has the motivation to continue this project a few months back.
I cannot interact with this game on any deeper than "'Escallion' is just the word scallion with an e on the front'" just at the moment. Built-in-danger of hyphenated titles with made up words, I suppose.
Perhaps later I'll give this a deeper look. It does seem very shiny.

I'm guessing the new demo has the missing SE file that is used for continuing a game from the title screen.
