One of the best retro fan games ever.

This game......completely captures the idea of a retro video game. I mean, just look at it! One look tells you its a good game.

Storyline 3/5
This is the only thing that this game is lacking. You are a hero. Save the princess. That about sums up the plot. Another thing the creator didn't mention was all the vines that are all over the castle, or why the queen went corrupt. Despite these plotholes, the game is still very easy to follow along.

Gameplay 4/5
The gameplay uses the default battle system, and i must say, the creator made it so its not completely repetitive. For one thing, he made it so that certain enemies use different attacks when their hp gets low. Its not much, but its appreciated.
Another thing the creator did was create a Mini Store. Basically, it allows you to shop absoulutely anywhere in the game, except the final boss area. In the Mini Store, you can buy all the usual items, and also, magic. Thats right, you have to buy new magics. It dosent really matter, but hey, its new, right?

Graphics 4/5
Graphics look exactly like they should - retro. Everything in the game is in black and white, but he used the chipset to still make it look good. I have to say, i can't even complain about the graphics.

Music 4/5
The music, as well, is retro, but it is still very catchy and fits the situation correctly. There isn't anything to complain about this, either.

Replayability/Explorability 5/5

This game has a new game+ system after you finish the game, and it features more bosses, and a few new areas. There is a very good amount of explorability in this game, like, for example, the smith quest where you can kill three optional bosses for a new sword. There are also weapons and armor that can't be obtained untill your second playthrough.

Overall, i give this game a 4/5. It still needs a couple of things, like more explamation of the storyline, or more playable characters. But, i love this game, and im hoping he'll make a sequal.
