One Thousand Words

Pictures pretty much work functionally. What's missing are the scaling, fading, spinning, wavering, and coloring of these pictures, but any custom menu system made with pictures should still work- you can see the cursor and windows and everything.

what about transparencies?


This just in, I've implemented fades. Funny you mention that. Now top/bottom transparency has a beautiful use.

oh cool.

but I meant like transparent colors. In ye olde RM2k3 you could specify a color as being the transparent color, and there was a setting in Show Image that said "Use transparent color" (or something like that)
You mean I don't have to use 50 pictures for transparent gradients that I want to move?

I am probably going to put my 2k3 project on hiatus until I get my hands on a full version of thissss.
Oh yeah color keying or not color keying works, I already tested that. Also, the more people that tell me they're going on hiatus to wait for this thing, the faster I push forward since I want to see what you do.

My games already on hiatus, but im not going to un hiatus it untill this is finished.
I'm thinking of doing that too, to be honest. All of these features and bug-fixes for the original program sound great, and just make me want to use it even more.
Well it looks like I can cross of scaling too off the list. I think I'll do the rotation and waver next before I do tints.

I don't mean "GIVE US A DATE!" I just mean, weeks? months? a year? or more :P (I, with zero programming knowledge, haven't the slightest idea how long a project like this would take to get to a public release. I don't wanna sound impatient or nagging, I'm just completely ignorant to the process.)

Otherwise I might just carry on with my gaem and start an awesome new project with this baby when it comes out. :)

Well, I can give you a date. I'll release Alpha 3 sometime on Friday with all the changes since the Christmas release. As for an ultimate release date, you know how game companies like to tease you with this.


I'm thinking March 20 for Beta 1 though. I might not make that deadline, however.
