These two fonts have been rasterized using Codehead's Bitmap Font Generator and edited for 32-bit alpha afterwords.
are other fonts supported or possible?
With 20XX, if you want a custom font, you could just draw it yourself.

Will your engine have the font shadow effect that the original RPG_RT.exe draws? It's a minor thing, but the shadow really makes reading the text a lot easier.

That or I'm just used to the shadow being there.
It will once I figure out how to multiply the shadow pattern from the system graphic onto the text, and have that underneath the actual text. Don't forget that I also have to get multiplication of the text colors to work too. These are both important otherwise the text is very hard to read and/or some users highlight things in colors.

What about outline? That'll look cool for some games. But that option would have to be implemented in the editor for me to read.

Outline effect will definitely interest people who want to use it, but as you said it requires implementation on the side of the editor. Sounds like something to discuss with Cherry!

I've tried talking to Cherry about this already. Cherry said they are focused on making 2009U and won't be considering additional options I suggest and will only implement what they want to.
